Daylight

Yesterday was pretty insane.  I got called in to work at 4am for snow and ice removal.  So, I got about 3 hours of actual sleep.  Oh well, I surived.  The university had graduation yesterday, so snow removal was pretty important considering the first ceremony started at 8;30am.  The cool thing was that we kept getting complimented by people walking by on their way to Jesse Hall.  We also got a standing ovation when the guest speaker mentioned our hard work since 4am.  We kinda wish we’d been there when that happened… but we’ll remain humbled for now =0P

I also had to go take care of Matt at 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, and 10pm, so I was running back and forth from work and Matt’s place.  It was pretty tiring, especially when I have to go lift him after shoveling for a few hours… man, I got a serious workout (and right now my back and screaming).  At 8pm, Em and I went to Shannon’s wedding reception.  It was pretty fun, but no dancing… it stinks when there’s no dancing at a reception.  However, we saw some of our friends from our ward and some friends from the ward we’re thinking about switching to.

On a random note, Em and I decided to go with the regular lightbulbs this time.  However, after a day of using them,  Ihad to go and return them last night and get the daylight bulbs.  There’s just something about the yellow color that just bothers me… it makes me feel sad.  going from our room with the daylight bulbs to the living room with the regular bulbs, it was like night and day for me.  They’re more expensive, but it’s worth the extra 20 cents per bulb to keep me sane.

Here’s my favorite picture of Em and I… thought I’d just post it up for anyone who wants to see it.  Loves y’all!

My dad uses daylight bulbs, but it doesn’t look like daylight to me. It seems darker in the room, and much more blue. I prefer the white light of sunshine to all forms of light, but the regular energy efficient bulbs are my pick for windowless rooms. The picture is fantastic.
