Crossing
You know… it drives me crazy when I receive private notes from anonymous people. I wish they’d leave the note signed or something. Oh well.
Tonight’s been pretty fun. The University ward got together for a video scavenger hunt. I think I thoroughly made a fool out of myself much like just about everyone else there. At one point we had to do an interview between two group members in the style of a wrestling pre-game show. We decided it would be funnier if I held that interview with the statue of Beetle Bailey in front of the Alumni center. I think I left a lot of onlookers completely confused and probably scared. It was hilarious. We had Chinese afterwards and watched the videos, but unfortunately my team did not win. Ah well. We tried. At least I was able to get that litle girl to laugh on camera.
Some of the guys and I came back to my place to watch a movie, but the girls who were going to come ended up not showing. Unfortunate, but we still had a good time. Church this last Sunday was definitely enjoyable, though. I think I felt comfortable there for the first time in a long time. I’m still pretty new to the whole ward, but I’m slowly beginning to meet more people and make some new friends. There’s no question that I still have some small doubts and fears right now, but ultimately, I definitely feel I’m in the right direction. There’s a YSA conference coming up this next weekend, so I’m looking forward to attending that. We’re heading down to Jeff City on Saturday and it seems like they’ve got some cool stuff ready for us.
Man, I know I have to move on with my life and do what is right for me… but it’s also important for me to appreciate my past for what it was. It’s just hard to say goodbye to people when they were such a wonderful part of your life.
