What a whirlwind of a weekend!

Well I started to feel so much better fortunately!  Nathan’s parents showed up and it was a nice visit.  They also removed a ton of stuff we had boxed up to go back to storage!  We now have more room and closet space for when the baby arrives!  Nathan’s folks really surprised me when they said they had a rocker to bring, I thought of a regular wooden rocker glider.

NOPE!  It was a LaZe Boy recliner rocker in my fav chocolate brown color!!  Oh yes I will enjoy rocking the baby asleep in THAT and nursing her!!!  It is upstairs in Nathan’s office since that is the ONLY room it would fit in.  However it is perfect up there!

Kyle has had such a busy weekend.  Friday was a field trip to the fair and boy did he have a blast!  Then he was once again super excited to see his grandparents and hang out with them!

Oh Nathan and his dad also built a cabinet we needed and a bookcase!  It was funny to watch and hear then since they screwed up and had to rebuild it again.  There was virtually no swearing and no yelling but heavy sighs.  LOL

I am so glad I got my grocery shopping done yesterday.  I have some great meals planned for the week.  It is finally cooling down and so I can make soups and chili’s and roasts more often!

Kyle and I are working on fall and halloween decorations still.  We painted jack-o-laterns yesterday!  It was a LOT of fun!  Nathan and Kyle painted a small casket.

a few pumpkins we painted

On the weekends, I have been reviewing with Kyle his letters and words and spelling and writing.  Kyle enjoyed doing this with Grandma on Saturday.  Kyle enjoys doing these learning activities, but I do try to make them fun and so does Nathan.  Nathan and Kyle were reading about dinosaurs and looking up images and such online about some of them.  I told Kyle about the La Brea tar pits and he got real excited.  Tonight I promised to show him pictures of it!

I think I may do a pork roast for dinner tonight in the crock pot.  Last night we had marinated steak, fresh steamed garlic and green beans and potatoes o’brien.  The night before we went out to dinner at a mexican restaurant with Nathan’s folks.  I think will be a nice change and tomorrow I will make CHICKEN!  I think I probably will bake it!

Nathan has an extra long morning today because he wants to attend a lecture at his school by a visiting congressman.  I am trying to figure out what to do with myself.  I don’t feel sick and miserable and the house is clean and I am no longer in school so I don’t have any studying to do.

I may bake some tasty cupcakes!  Ooo that is a great idea!  I promised Kyle I would pick him up early today from school.  If I have the cupcakes made and cooled, then when he is home, he and I can decorate them!  It is suppose to be raining and storming this afternoon so this is going to work out as a nice indoor project!

If I wasn’t suppose to be staying off my ankle as much as possible, I would go on a surprise field trip with Kyle’s class today.  Apparently the fire dept invited Kyle’s class over the weekend to visit today!  I was so happy about this.  Just last week, Kyle was asking about firemen and wanting to meet one!  This is perfect and I am sure he will have a blast.

I appreciate all the trips and things his preschool does.  It gives Kyle a chance to explore things first hand and explore other things in the world.

Ugh I just remembered I have to go to the DMV today.  I don’t even want to get into it.  I still am not a happy camper about the 7:45am text asking me to call my Mom ASAP.  The last time I got something like that was when my Dad had a heart attack and was in the hospital!  I call to find out that my brother lost the paperwork for the car and it needs it’s registration renewed!  This is my car that I am loaning to him down in Boise.  Of course I don’t have the registration.  I emailed down the insurance papers but now I need to go in and register the car.  I wish they had called me later and when I could actually do something.  Oh well, I will handle it today.

Ok I have rambled on enough.  I best get my roast started!
