I just had a huge entry written and I tried to save it…it disappeared.  Damn it all!!!!  So let’s try this again.

Dave Matthews Band in Central Park is something I will never forget.  I am so glad I decided to make the trip.

We got there on Tuesday 45 minutes later than we should have due to the rain and wind in NYC.  Becky met us at the hotel and we went for dinner at an Irish pub around the corner then spent all night bar hoping and at a comedy club.  We closed the last bar at 4 am, grabbed some breakfast and crashed.

Erin called Wednesday morning at 11:30 to say she had made it and was on her way.  By the time she got there we were ready to head over to Central Park to stand in line.  We fianlly got to the Great Lawn at 5:30 so we just sat around for 2 hours chatting, relaxing and smoking out cigarettes that we snuck in.

I cried during this show….seriously cried.  The band played for 3 hours with such passion, big smiles on thier faces.  They were having fun and the crowd was feeding off of it.

After the show we ended up going to the bar we had closed the night before, BB Doyle’s.  We were there until closing again, 4 am.  Erin and Jessica left the bar and went to the airport for their 6 am flight, poor girls.  We got on the plane Thursday hung over, it was not pretty.

I am going to Chicago the weekend before my birthday to see some friends…and J of course 🙂  I need to go looking for some really fun bars to hang out at.  I plan on being there Fri – Sun and my friends want to hit bars both nights.

Oh my god, I am so jealous – DMB are one of my fave bands! And in Central Park? How lucky are you? Sorry. I am (almost) literally green with envy right now!!! I’m trying not to hate you but it’s not easy… J/k.
