Still on bed rest… for now

The doctor was really happy to see that my ultrasound showed that my placenta is in a good position now, but he still wants me on bed rest for the time being.  He said I’ll probably be able to go back to work at the beginning of October.  Everyone at work should be happy about that since October and November are really crazy months at work due to the quarterly MBA report and unclaimed property reporting.  But that means when I go back I’ll be jumping right in.  The doctor also gave me the ok to go to IN this weekend for Ben’s 10 yr reunion and his little cousin’s birthday party.  So I’ll be going down there the next two weekends because our baby shower is the weekend after that.  He just said that I should get up and walk around every hour… but since the car ride down there is usually not much longer that an hour and a half we probably won’t stop.  Should make for a long day Saturday since his cousin’s party is during the day and the reunion is that night.  I have been laying on the couch for 6 weeks so it should be interesting to see if I have enough energy to make it through the day. 😉  

In other news… we have a new roof.  It looks nice and they got it done super quick, so that was a plus.  Ben went up there the day after it got put on to try to clean the skylight and he almost slid off the roof.  He said the new shingles are much more slippery than the old ones.  He managed to stop himself but he has this enormous blister on his hand and his leg is all scraped up.  And it freaked him out so he came right back down and didn’t end up getting the skylight cleaned. 😉  

Well, I suppose… I’m going to go get a little nap in.  I did not sleep good last night.  This belly is really starting to get uncomfortable!  😉
