Not writing enough
I’m working at home right now. "working" at home. I’m having a hard time staying motivated since I know I’m being laid off at the end of the year. Soooo… really I’m watching TV and playing on the internet. And all of a sudden I realized that I could be using this time to update my OD. I wish I was keeping up with this more. I always thought I’d use it to chronicle Gavin’s developments and day to day stuff but it’s so hard to find time to come in here and write. Maybe once I’m not working, I’ll find time.
So, we have officially started trying for #2. I did my first round of clomid last month… with no results. I’m actually waiting for a call back from my doctor to see if I should fill the prescription for round two or if I should maybe get the dose increased. I guess we’ll see.
Gavin is officially 9 months old. He has two teeth. He can pull up to standing if we’re holding on to his hands. He just in the last couple of days can stay up on his hands and knees if we help him get up on them. Big developments. 🙂 And *knock on wood* he’s been relatively healthy the last two months! His wheezing and coughing has gotten a ton better. I’m not sure if the new medicine helped or if he’s finally starting to outgrow whatever problem he had. He’s had one more cold since the last time I wrote, but it was really mild. The only thing we really noticed was that his sleeping went to crap for a week. He wasn’t coughing a ton or miserable. so, yeah, things have been good since I wrote last! 🙂
We’ve been spending a lot of time enjoying the summer. We’ve been to IN twice, we went to the renassaince (spelling?) festival, we went to the zoo, we’ve been up to Rhinelander. My parents and aunt and uncle are coming down in a couple of weeks and we’re going to take him to the aquarium, which I think he’ll really like. Oh, and we got him a baby pool that he LOVES.
I’m a little bit of a nervous wreck today. I keep checking my phone waiting to hear from my mother-in-law. Cassie (ben’s sister) is having an ultrasound today to see if she needs surgery to put stints in the baby’s kidneys. She’s 35 weeks pregnant and at an ultrasound two weeks ago they found that the baby’s kidneys weren’t working properly. And she had an ultrasound last week that showed the baby’s kidneys were actually getting worse. So they’re going to a hospital that has more experience in this kind of problem and has a NICU today to have another ultrasound and possibly surgery. I just hope everything works out ok. I really hope the baby is alright and that if he/she does need the stints, that the surgery goes awesome and Cassie is ok.
I’m waiting on a contractor to get here to measure our window in the kitchen. We’re having a new slider door put in, a new kitchen window, and they’re fixing the siding and flashing on the front of the house. Wonderful to need all this stuff when I’m losing my job. 🙁 But it’ll be so nice to have a new slider that actually opens and that doesn’t have holes in the screen. We’re talking about maybe getting a slider with blinds in it.
I’m watching a baby story and in the middle of this girl pushing, all I notice is she’s wearing her wedding rings. I haven’t been able to wear my rings since I was 5 months pregnant. I still can’t wear them.
Ok, I’ve rambled enough. Here are some new Gavin pictures for your viewing pleasure.
