New Nephew!

I have a new nephew!! 🙂  Ben’s sister gave birth to a very healthy 8lb 4 oz boy this morning at 7am. 🙂  No name yet, they’re still deciding.  I can’t wait to meet him next weekend!!!  🙂  And I can’t wait to see what they’re going to name him.  *please please don’t let it be the one boy name that Ben and I agree on!* 😉 

We’ve had some crazy crazy weather this week.  Sunday night we spent about a half an hour hiding out in the basement because the tornado sirens were going off.  Scary!!  Now there’s a tornado in Cook county heading right towards Chicago.  And of course Ben is down there tonight for a send off party for the guy from his work that got laid off.  Wonderful.  AND you know that earthquake in Canada this afternoon?  We *ahem, ok, not really WE* felt it at work!  And I say not really we because I didn’t feel a thing, but several people came out of their office at the same time saying, "What was that!?"  And the girl in the cube next to me felt it.  We found out that an earthquake had happened in Canada at that exact moment about an hour later online.  Kinda crazy that the news story was saying they felt it as far south as Milwaukee but we’re a good 150 miles south of Milwaukee and everyone felt it.

Well, I’m 18 weeks today.  That’s 5 months, right?  Or is 19 weeks 5 months?  I get that all messed up.  I’ve got an appt tomorrow.  I wish they were doing an ultrasound but at least I’ll get to listen to the heartbeat.  I think I’ve been feeling some small movements this week.  I’m not 100% sure because I’ve been *probably tmi* pretty gassy and I guess it is possible that it’s been gas bubbles.  But I don’t know.  It feels a little different.  And it happens when I’m relaxing in the evening or right before bed.  So I think it’s the baby.  🙂  I just know I’ll be relieved to hear the heartbeat tomorrow and know he/she is still ok. 

I also have an appt tomorrow morning with my regular doctor to have this lump behind my ear looked at.  I’m not too worried about it most of the time, but I figured it’s time to have it looked at.  It’s been about 4 months since I noticed it and it hasn’t changed any. 

Well, I’m going to get going.  I actually have some energy tonight so I’m going to go tape the room we have to paint in the basement and surprise Ben when he gets home.
