Crazy night and a few belly shots!
My parents and aunt were here over the weekend to give us a mini shower since they can’t make it to the shower in IN now that the date has changed. It was nice having them here and I loved having my mom here for the last two weeks to help me out and keep me company. It’ll be nice to have the TV to myself and to not feel like I am boring her to death now that she’s gone, but I really don’t want to be here alone all day. At least I know now though that an ambulance gets to our place in about 5-10 minutes… story on that to follow. Ben’s mom and dad came up on Saturday too and Ben cooked brats and burgers on the grill and we played a few games. And Ben was able to get the blinds up in the baby’s room with the help.
Ok, so my aunt has a lot of health problems. She’s had several heart surgeries and she has diabetes really bad. Not to mention she still smokes and she doesn’t eat right, which is not good for a diabetic. She wouldn’t eat dinner Saturday night because we were eating leftovers from lunch and she didn’t want leftovers… wah wah. Ahem, anyways. So we all go to bed at like 11:30pm and I had just fallen asleep at like quarter to 12 when my mom comes yelling and knocking on out door. Apparently my aunt called my mom’s cell phone from the first floor since she was sleeping on the couch and she said she needed to go to a hospital. She was having chest pains and having trouble breathing. So my dad called an ambulance because of her heart problems, we were sure she was having another heart attack. So we had an ambulance at our house at about midnight. They were really quick and were really efficient and friendly. Good to know because if I’m home alone and something happens with bleeding or whatever, now I know that the ambulance drivers are close and good. My parents followed the ambulance to the hospital. We stayed home because of me being on bed rest and not to mention I shouldn’t be around all the germs and stuff at a hospital. It turned out not to be my aunts heart, which was awesome news. Apparently since she didn’t eat dinner, she ate a bunch of random stuff like a donut and a peanut butter and butter (yuck, right?) sandwich and a few other things and then laid down right away to go to bed and had an esophagus reflex attack. They kept her overnight for observation and released her today and her and my parents headed back up to my parents place. Hopefully she does ok with the 6hr drive, but she said she felt fine. I also hope my dad isn’t too tired to drive since they were at the hospital until 4:30am and got up at like 8:30am. So not much sleep. But yeah, that was our crazy night!
I finally got some pictures off of my camera… so here’s a few belly shots!
This first one is at 19 weeks.
And this second one was taken last night at 26 weeks and 2 days. I think I look huge already for how far along I am. I can’t imagine what a few more months will do to me!
And here’s a few pictures of our just about finished nursery. I know, it’s bland right now but once we have the baby and know if it’s a girl or boy, we’ll get some more decorations and make it look cuter. 🙂
Ok, I guess that’s just about it for now! I might go take a nap because I didn’t get much sleep last night either. After being woken up like that it took me hours to get back to sleep. But at least, on a side note, I haven’t had any more bloody noses the last two nights!
