crazy couple of days

well, since I’ve written last (aka since OD has been down…) I’ve been in and out of the hospital three times for my blood pressure.  They finally today put me on a stronger blood pressure medicine so we’ll see if that does the trick.  At least all of my labs are looking good.  Definitely getting tired of being in and out of the hospital though.  I have to go in to my doctors office tomorrow for a blood pressure check and then I have to go in to the hospital on Sunday for monitoring and blood pressure checks.  And then I have an ultrasound on Monday and a monitoring appt at my doctors office on Tuesday.  And on top of all that, since I had to cancel my baby shower up in my hometown that was supposed to be this weekend, everyone decided they are coming down here.  So my mom and dad and brother and sister-in-law and niece and nephew will all be staying here this weekend.  And on Saturday my aunt and uncle and cousin and Ben’s mom and grandparents are all coming down for a little mini-shower.  It’s good in a way because we really do need more baby stuff… but not good in a way because just having all those people in the house is probably going to be stressful and make my blood pressure go up.  Also, my mom decided that she wants to stay here for a week or two to go to appts and stuff with me.  Which is fine but having her here causes some stress in and of itself.  And Ben is already giving me a hard time about it because he likes it being just me and him and he didn’t want anyone here right away after we have the baby.  I on the other hand would welcome the help… I have no clue how to take care of a baby and just having someone else here at the beginning would be nice.  But that’s not to say I’ll have the baby in the next few weeks.  I’m hoping to hold out as long as possible, especially since the baby is measuring small.  My doctor took me off my Procardia today though and he said that if I start having contractions, he’s not stopping them.  So hopefully I don’t go back into preterm labor right away.  *sighs*  I’m stressed out!
