green
green compliments
the way
my eyes show jealousy,
people walking
halls
in jeans,
laughter echoing
as elevators ding
and I lay on plastic mattress
hospitality
patience threadbare
crying
to empty rooms
as fear strikes the brightest
tan walls engulf
suffocating
tearless eyes streak
red tattoo’d
lines
aned even the freckles
show bruises,
screaming
without maing a sound,
green drowns me
in uncertainty
