Vroom *edit*

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of my parents, I now have a new car.  Now that that’s out of the way, I just have to worry about paying them back.

2006 Hyundai Sonata LX, and it’s fantastic.  We got a great deal on it, too.  It had just come into the lot that day, and I was amazed at how clean it was for having 100,000 miles on it.  As I test drove it, my parents checked it out online and found that a car in that good of condition goes would usually go for $10,000, and the dealer was wanting $6500 for it.  There really appears to be nothing wrong with it mechanically, and it seems to be a nice, solid car.  And, yeah, $6500 was quite a ways out of the price range that we were looking for, but with the shape it appears to be in, I think this car would probably last another five years at least, maybe 10.  Now to get it insured without being raped so I can finally start driving it.. 🙁

ryn: not going to university. tried that, just taking the basic classes to “help you figure out what you want to do” and that not only did not help but wasted a lot of mom and dad’s money. I am going to try a trades school. (Saskatchewan institue of Applied Technologies- SIAST) ps. nice new car!
