I can’t believe that this is still affecting me after a year. I thought it was this completely minor accident, and, in some ways it was, and in other ways, it wasn’t. I think I need to find a physical therapist/chiropractor up in Madison…I can hardly describe the pain that’s shooting through my back right now. It’s that painful pressure type that comes in gigantic jolts and makes you want to cry. Mitch used to be my “fill in” doctor for when my back hurt, but I don’t think it’s okay for me to ask him for a back rub anymore. I’m just really desperate…I’m in an immense amount of physical pain here.

I need to take better care of myself. I’m getting enough sleep, oddly enough, but I’m not eating very much (although what I do eat is FAIRLY healthy) and I’m really dehydrated. I just don’t think about eating much anymore…I’m too busy or too lazy to run down to GC or out to a grocery store. I really don’t even have anything in the room I can eat.

What a happy entry! Yeah, I know…I’m actually rather excited, though, because I finished Houseboy tonight and I just started it this afternoon. So that’s one less thing I have to do this weekend. Very awesome, considering what I thought was going to be a boring weekend looks like it will be quite full of things to do!

Off to read some more in The Door to December (because I have to have my Dean Koontz fix!) and get some sleep. I’m looking forward to tomorrow!

The doctors can’t help unless there is a shooting sensation down your leg(meaning your spinal cord is being affected). I have had a back problem, which I don’t know if you knew or not. My 2 lowest vertabrae in my back are not conncected fully which causes irritation of the muscles… the only thing you can do is work on strengthing those muscles. Do those exercises. Ben
