Patriotic (un)

I don’t regret what I said tonight about patriotism. What I said to my dad…to which he responded, “I was in a war.”

I know that, Dad. You remind in little ways every day (that’s not a bad thing, mind you).

I’m sorry for not being a model American at this time. I should rot in hell.

🙂 Fuck that. I’m still a good person.

But geez…look at me. Not really patriotic, I don’t believe in God. Wow…I’m one fucked up American. But still an American.

But I said what I said because it’s how I feel. And I could care less how you feel about that.

Im pacifist.. They dont like me neither.

Patriotism…hmm…definitions are for one’s own mind to seek. Quite frankly…I think you are more of a patriot than your father. However…he fights for cloth. You, on the other hand….fight for truth. Or so it seems to me. Alas, my opinion means nothing. Well, I hope it at least means something to you. Adieu.

I thank you for your praise…but I believe it falls upon the undeserved. Give it unto thine own self, and there might you find happiness. Happiness…the true meaning of life. Ponder it…just for a moment. 😉

People weren’t patriotic before Sept. 11. Well, most of them at least. Most people see it as a way to be a part of something with everyone else. Being patriotic isn’t that important anyway. What’s important is not hating your country. But that’s what I think.

There’s no such thing as a “model” American, in fact being an American means that we have the right to think, and SAY, whatever we want to. So by utilizing that right you have been an American hon =) Ann

Like Matt says, the whole thing was a conspiracy anyways. A master plan to unite us and start a war to boost the economy…in so many words, yes…that’s what he said. Sounds reasonable enough, or maybe a little crazy. There’s nothing wrong with that. Who knows. If you see the truth of what’s happening and don’t like it, don’t stand by it. That’s what I say. ~Lindsay
