Let’s see if this works
I am trying to make a conscious effort to RELAX over break. Not that my life is particularly stressful or anything, but I tend to be rather anal (surprise, surprise, eh?) and worry about miniscule details, so for one week, I am going to try to put down my planner and just chill out. Get outside, bake, exercise, sleep, watch GOOD movies, visit people, make long phone calls to the people I CAN’T see, you know, all that good for the soul stuff.
I am actually done by 2 PM on Thursday, but I will not be able to get home for a few hours after that (my lack of a car plus parents having work related things = delayed homecoming). I plan to actually go right to Madison after dropping my parents off in Janesville so that I can get my things from the apartment and leave my keys. I have been putting this off for a while and I need to get it done, for practical purposes and for my state of mind. Having things left up there is just…mentally difficult (and a very hard concept to explain to anyone, just take my word for it). The futon will have to stay, of course, since I’m not about to take seating away from the girls (and I really don’t have anywhere to put it right now) and perhaps that shower caddy contraption, as I’m not sure if Amber actually uses it. I suppose I’ll find out once I’m there, though. But the girls are staying in that same apartment next year (with Bethany as the new 4th), so it’s not really a priority at all to get it back. Who knows, I might even end up just giving it to them – I’ll have to see how my life pans out.
So, to get back to my point (do you still remember it? ::wink::), Thursday won’t be officially relaxing, and neither will Friday. I have a therapy session at 11 here in Whitewater, then I’m packing up Mark to take him home for the week, taking him to donate plasma (during which I’ll just go home, since Biolife is right by my house), then taking him to his house. I will most likely spend most, if not all, of the evening there, so I won’t get to anything on my checklist of “happy” stuff (not that being with my boyfriend isn’t happy time, mind you!).
Saturday will begin my relaxation – and the only other things I have to do during my Spring Break are a doctor’s appointment at 10:30 on Tuesday, a plasma appointment at noon of the same day, and then a quick trip back to Whitewater on Wednesday to meet with Steve Kruse, the head of the School of Education (yes, I’m thinking of becoming a teacher, go figure :)).
So if you see me over break, talk to me on the phone or IM, PLEASE REMIND ME TO RELAX! It’s most definitely not something I am capable of doing without a lot of thought and effort. ::sigh:: That thoughts depresses me. Ah, well, one more thing to bring up at therapy!
Toodles. 🙂
Relax!!! you need to go straight to the local techinical college where there is cosmetology and esthetics..they give CHEAP but awesome facials. I go to cosmo school and I always get my facials once a month. By the way–do you live in Ohio or indiana? the names of the places you talk about sound familiar!
