It’s May and I need to turn the heat back on!
I got my NEA credit card today…yay for cards with rewards programs! Especially cool education ones 😉 But do I really need another credit card? No…
My new apartment is ready – I’m going to pick up the keys and my parking permit tomorrow morning before work, then start to move some of the stuff in that afternoon and on Saturday. Max and Mom and Dad are going to be here on Sunday to help with the big stuff and get everything finalized, but it’ll be nice to just have some time in there by myself to get a feel for the place and take some measurements for some of the furniture. I’m so excited to have a bath tub again! I’m aware that this sounds horribly dorky/strange, but I’m used to it. I can’t help it – I’m a water baby.
I’m glad to be leaving this place – for the 4 and 1/2 months I lived here, it served its purpose. But any longer in this apartment and I might have gone nuts! And I never figured out why there was toilet paper in the freezer. Or the big, scary butcher knife in the bathroom. So, adieu, farewell, yadda yadda yadda.
A week and a half of transition – moving, summer job (even though it’s technically the same one…oh well), socially significant birthday…should prove to be interesting, fun, and, I’m sure, a little stressful.
I work tomorrow, but not until noon – so tonight will just be reading and TV (if Maggie ever comes back!) and Subway (I really have to stop eating Subway…even if it IS quasi-nutritious) and e-mailing a buttload of people.
Ciao, bellas.
