How is this possible?

Today was so good…I can’t even imagine how the things in my life fell into place so perfectly…

The day started with a surprise announcement from my mother: I can get doubles. 🙂 NOW. Not when I’m 18, like it was originaly agreed upon. My appointment’s September 27th. Yes, I have to go to the doctor to have it done. *grumble grumble* No, not really, I’m just thrilled to be getting them now instead of in May.

Spanish was pretty simple, we just picked our names and did short bios. Senora also explained a bit about our diarios. Cool. She teased Andrew once when he TOTALLY spaced out. It was amusing.

English was cool because I got to answer a few questions (correctly!) and Mrs. W. REALLY knows what she’s talking about. It’s such an awesome class.

In band, Mitch, Myra, and I just sat around and talked. It’s still a bit of a letdown, that class, but it’s the only time I get to see Mitch, so I’m happy about that.

In band aux, there are 12 people. 🙂 Myra, me, Matt Z., Paul V., Kevin, Jaime, Ryan, Brian, and some other people I can’t remember at the moment. Whoops! It should be…interesting. Lots of time for euchre and homework and stuff. A bunch of us spent the hour playing with Myra’s Mexican Jumping Beans (they’re our mascot!) and talking and making up new names for ourselves. And I made fun of Paul. 🙂

Lunch was a Green Room one, very basic, simple, and fun. It’s a cool group. We’re much closer this year than last.

5th hour rocked. Windhorst is awesome. She said, “This is a sex class.” 🙂 Salzman, anyone? We talked about trivial traits and did some cool worksheet things. It’s starting to be very interesting.

Assembly = boring as all hell. Hey, people who clapped at the truancy thing? GROW UP.

We did The Orchestra Song in 6th hour (after introduction…where Jay made a slip-up!). It sounds GOOD. This year should be good.

Psych was interesting. We got our study guides, looked at the book a bit, then watched a Hyperstudio presentation (“clicked” by Steph H., *clap clap*). It was dedicated to Jeremiah. How cool. I had to come home and tell Corey that. 🙂

After school, I chatted with Christine, Matt, and Rachel by senior doors, then went with Linds to her house. She changed and I talk with Matt. Then we came here for a bit, then went to Craig for the alumni game. It ended up being Naomi, Linds, Danielle, Val, Shane, and me watching. Mitch said he wasn’t playing very well, but, geez, I know NOTHING about soccer, so I couldn’t tell. He was unhappy, though, which bummed me out. I don’t know how to make him happier, though…I’ll have to work on that. Those of us watching had fun…made Chinese plans for Friday and Mexican ones for Saturday. Afterwards, all of us plus Derek, Mitch, Andrew, and Jack went to Fazoli’s. That was THE funniest dinner. Read Naomi’s OD, she’s got it all summed up. Mitch was still not happy, though. And tired, too, so he was really quiet. We’ll see how he is tomorrow.

I took Linds home, then we talked a bit, and I came home. Did my homework, finished Wuthering Heights, and then got another surprise announcement. In my grandma’s will, I was left a ring. A beautiful diamond ring. And as a senior gift, my parents are having it reset into my mother’s old engagement ring (she has a really classic, simple silver setting that I’ve fallen in love with, so that’s why they chose it). I’m so incredibly happy about that. It’ll be gorgeous.

What an awesome day. Now it’s time to play with my scanner…the computer is slowly arriving! 🙂

August 25, 2001

The first time people clapped, it was mildly funny, but when they did it again, that was just unspectful and dumb… I hated it when Seibert said “isn’t 8:00 to 3:20 long enough?” oy vey, THAT’S a way to get people excited about school. School is good. Education is good. Administration is bad… very very bad… glad to hear you had a good day jenni 😉
