Grumpy little eggplant

I went to Washington today.  The 1st grade teacher I worked with was sweet, but you could definitely tell she was older – she had some subtle prejudices that radiated through the classroom.  Sad but true…but I saw Keelien (!), who was in the class next door.  She’s such a sweet girl – what an imagination!  And she and Alex look SO much alike, it’s almost scary.

Went into work for a little bit, couldn’t talk to Barb because she and Jeanne were getting trained on the new computer system, so I just dinked around with some expense reports and travel budgets for a bit.  Then it was off to the CC for two hours of waking up the little darlings and watching them stomp all over cheese and cracker sandwiches in the kitchen.  ::sigh::  It was a LONG two hours.

Ryan came to cover for me at 3:45, and I nipped back home to grab my PHF materials before heading to Minnieska.  The reception was fun, but people were a bit long-winded (as usual), so it wasn’t over at 6 as promised – I had to leave early to get to class on time.  After sitting through an hour lecture on sexually transmitted diseases (with pictures…UGH!), I ripped through the final, and said goodbye to that pathetic excuse for a class.  Chris gave me a ride home, I ran to Wal-Mart, and now I’m in my jammies and being a bum for the rest of the night.

It’s the last chance I’ll get for the next 72 hours – my last two finals (Child Dev. and Ed. Plur.) are on Thursday, so Tuesday, Wednesday, and part of Thursday will be totally devoted to that (plus making sure my portfolio is perfect).  After that, I can relax…or at least try to.  Sometimes I just can’t get my brain to turn off and I get myself into a frenzy over the silliest, most insignificant things.  My apartment is getting to be a bit claustraphobic – moving in less than 2 weeks will give me a little change of pace…even if I’m only moving into the building next door!  And the kitties will be arriving soon.  🙂

I am super, super skilled at getting myself dehydrated.  Go me.

Woah, the energy level has gone from 75% to nada – time to zone out.

Peace out, girl scout.

P.S. I know this is Wisconsin, but this weather is pissing me off.  It’s May!  SUNSHINE!  70s!  C’mon!
