I’ve really started to like coffee – not Starbucks-made, froth-topped Caramel Chip Mochachinos (or whatever the hell they’re called, Katy, help me out!), but deep, black, hot coffee with just a touch of half ‘n’ half mixed in to tone down a bit of the bitterness. Annie made us a pot of coffee this morning to get us through the mid-morning slump of a Sunday at the Fluno and it’s already perking me up. We’re now scrounging for food, as F&B isn’t here today (no potatoes 🙁 ), and my breakfast has consisted of one small, yet delicious, chocolate chip cookie and fruit salad.
I have decided I am not ready for fall fruit. I am not prepared to leave the bright green kiwis, juicy yellow pineapple, and sweet red watermelon of summer behind and dive into crisp red apples, heavy pears, and deep purple plums. Food is just as mood altering as the weather, and with the change of seasons comes the change of what I eat. There will be more tomato soup and oatmeal, heavier salads, and a seemingly bottomless cup of hot chocolate. I find this interesting.
Enough of food – I need to get back to work.
I remember when I began to enjoy coffee, funny how somethings stick in your mind. RYN: One day soon I hope to be able to take orders. I have a blend that would be perfect for you, called Spirit Lift. It’s designed for SADD relief, and I’m told it really works since I have been asked to make more for same people all the time. One man is “Addicted” to it!
