…y monta un burro que es bajo y gordito.”

*Just a Spanish class quote from today…”Don Quixote.” 🙂 *rolls eyes*

I just finished studying for the Genetics test…Historical Overview and Mendel. It’s a great (and unusual) feeling to know I’ve really got the stuff nailed down.

Interesting day…got to school around 7:20, and on the way to taking my clarinet to the band room, I checked for the Spots list. I’m in it…so is Steph! 🙂 I’m so happy.

Meg, Aly, Sarah, Kasi, Steph, Suzy, Jozie, Jay, Joey, Zach, Tyler, Jim, Alex, Nathan, Brandon, and me. That’s the 2001-2002 group. 🙂 The NYC group. Awesome. Mr. Wolters said (and I quote!), “It’ll be a kick ass group.” He really said that!

Anyway, I RAN back to senior hall to tell Steph…she screamed. 🙂 Adorable. Went to an SHS officers meeting. Elizabeth, Laura, Amy, and I are the officers. I have some things to do for the club after I’m done writing this…

Andrew brought me a Glorious Morning muffin. 🙂 Yum.

Spanish was uneventful. But AP English brought a HUGE bummer. 1/3 of the class failed the test…I didn’t, thankfully, but I got a C-. Something odd, though – after talking to people, it SEEMED that those who didn’t read the book at all got better grades (3 of the A tests didn’t read it, wtf?!) and those who DID and knew it (Peter, Lex, ME!) got crappy ones. Alexis, Erin, Jenny, and I were all talking about it during Psych…we even asked Ward. But it’s just a bizarre thing…Christine, Cole and I had a GREAT talk about it after school. Thanks, you two. It was really cool talking like that. 🙂

Anyway, I was in a pretty bad mood after 2nd hour. Ashely and I bitched to each other about it during band. We played through stuff, then after listening to some Band Day talk (which, as of 6th hour, is now cancelled), we had time to hang around. Nate, Justin, Mitch, Ben, and I talked. Justin was filling out his UW-Madison application. Cool. I started to proof Ben’s paper…I feel bad, I kind of butchered it. *cringe* I hope he isn’t mad.

During 4th hour, we had to practice the stupid cross touches. Aih! I was called a POM! YUCK! 🙂 *sigh* I’m so immature sometimes. Then I went to see Mrs. Tiffany to get some transcript, scholarship, and financial aid info…I don’t want to be thinking about this yet! But this weekend, all I’ll be doing is filling out applications…there’s a HUGE stack of them on my bed…*sigh*

Lunch was semi-hyper and GIGGLY (to the point of choking on my pizza) with Em, Val, and Steph. We ran into Steph’s “biker trash” (!) parents at Pizza Hut. 🙂 It was raining a bit…lovely. No, really. Because it cooled it down a LOT. Sweet…

In Genetics, we had a quiz (did okay) and then had indy work time. Cool.

6th hour was okay. Pretty basic. “Diraiton” is SO pretty! I took that and “Blood Brothers” with me to my lesson. Awesome.

In Psych, we talked about the AP English thing, then “wrote” a class essay…actually just “set up” an experiment (Drug “X”!). It was cool…but quite confusing. Aih. Oh well. When I read tonight, I completely understood it. But sometimes putting it into practice is just THAT much harder.

There was practice after school, and that was fun. We did some fun stage pictures (“Stop touching the president!” “Who’s that between my legs?” “HUG BLACK!”), then ran through 2.2. I’m having fun with my “Martha” role. Then we did 1.1 and then I was in the audience the rest of the time (about 45 mintutes). Andrew, Chris, Sara, Christine, and others kept me company…Mitch showed up around 4:30. Yay! 🙂 Sara and I FLIPPED OUT about the “Master Thespian” thing (we figured it out, though!) and scared Tristen. 🙂 We (the officers) decided to meet with Mike (from Parker) tomorrow. Andrew told me something about Denise…I never knew that. Wow…

The soccer boys left around 5 (not that bad of a thing…*wink*), then the rest of us headed out (this is when the awesome convo happened). I keep seeing Margo and Emily and Erin…it’s so odd. I only get to talk to Erin, though. She’s one up and over in concert block. She put red tips on her blonde hair. 🙂 It rocks. Still getting the “younger” vibe from Margo…is that not completely bizarre? I don’t know how to get rid of it…oh well. Not a huge deal.

Voice was fun, easy, and relaxing. 🙂 Yay.

I spent from 6 till 10:15 on AP English, AP Psych, and Genetics. Now I’m going to write those thank-you notes and hit the sack…band’s at 6:55.

*groans and heads off to find a pen that works*

The key to AP English is not reading the books. They’ll give you too many extraneous ideas.Memorize every detail of your class notes instead. I know it’s ridiculous, but I got an A.
