One of the reasons that the job in Syngenta really works for me is because I get to talk to people all day long – conversations range from obscene to deep to incredibly silly, but in the end, I get a satisfied feeling from it all. If I am ever forced to work in an office, I think I would go nuts because I wouldn’t be able to have the conversing privilege.
Mark and I spent the night with Jay and Michelle – kind of a spur of the moment/late birthday celebration. Jay just happened to call Mark when we were about two blocks from Applebee’s, where they happened to be eating, so we joined them for dinner. This was followed by a tour of their house and meeting their adorable puppy, go-karts and the batting cages in Rockford, and ice cream. It was pretty late when we got back to Janesville, so Mark just crashed here, which is always nice. 🙂 Jay and Michelle are taking us rock climbing on Sunday and rafting the Sunday after that. There’s also been some talk about kayaking, but we’ll have to see how that pans out. I’m really glad that we got to hang out with them – depsite the fact that Jay is 27 and Michelle is almost 30, they treat us like really good friends. It’s a lot of fun.
Some things could be going better, but, all in all, life is kicking some pretty serious booty. 🙂
