Super exhausted from a quasi-busy and uber-crazy weekend.

I got done with work at 5:30 on Friday, and called Mom to whine about how I didn’t want to write my portfolio this weekend.  She said Michael and Jenna were in from Madison, so I went home to hang out with them and the four of us ended up going out to dinner at Red Robin.  The usual hilarity ensued, especially when we tried to order dessert – and I had THE most amazing Snickers cheesecake!) as well as my mother’s paranoia about a certain someone.  😉  When we got back to the house, we watched these hysterical old home movies of Jenna’s (the shriner hat!) and then dragged out the ones of Michael’s middle school Swing Choir shows.  Then I checked out the website for the townhouse those two are moving into in August – it’s super nice!  I can’t wait to see it after they fix it all up!  I came home around 10:30 and putzed around on the computer and read.  Bedtime at midnight.

I wanted to sleep in until noon, but for some unknown reason, I only made it until 8:30.  Damn.  I did some scheduling for next semester and finished my HEP and PHF work.  Around noon, I dragged myself through the shower, then watched “13 Ghosts” and part of “Resident Evil: Apocalypse.”  5 to 9 was spent at the Info Desk, and I managed to write most of my portfolio (!) while there, and even watch the 1st Harry Potter movie (and the 2nd one is on next Saturday!).  Then I raced home while my mind was still whirling and hammered out the rest of the portfolio – and even put it all together with pretty borders and clipart!  I’m SO relieved!  Watched SNL and crashed around 1.

Today, I rolled out of bed around 9, ran through the shower, and met up with the UC kids at the circle drive at 10.  No Dave or Renee :(, but we managed to amuse ourselves with the brief stint of hail, introductions, and the cookies v. buns debate.  Piled in and drove to Miller Park – Max got there about 20 minutes later, and we all pigged out at the tailgate.  Went in, watched the game, hung out with Heidi and Danny and Nick and BIlly, then I left with Max around the 8th inning.  We went back to his house and looked at pictures and snuggled and then played with Sammy when Max’s mom and brother brought him home.  Then we went out to dinner with Heidi and Danny, and Max brought me home.  It’s getting harder and harder to say goodbye to him…it’s not very fun only being able to get together on the weekends (although I DID get to see him this Thursday, which was so great!).  This situation will have to be remedied.  Now I’m just watching “The Notebook” before getting some sleep.

I have some thinking to do.  But it’ll have to wait until tomorrow – I’m in no condition right now.
