Transmission failing… reconnected…. sort of…

So, remember all, when I said things had slowed down?

Yeah, right.

Remember when we thought it was Sera’s ear infections that were her only issue, on top of the raging fevers and upset tummy?

Friday she broke out in hives. Not just a few, but hundreds, which all soon blended together and turned my FrogBaby into a human puffer-fish.  We took her to the doctor, who changed her antibiotic and told us to put her on Benadryl, which didn’t stop the hives, it just sort of stopped some of the itching. The fever ranged between 102 and 104, rarely dropping, and we almost had to take her into the emergency room yesterday because her face was swelling up and her fever was still difficult to manage.

After three days of sad baby, she’s finally feeling better. She looks like a leper; her face is covered in blotchy red patches and her eyes are still puffy, but at least she’s up and running and playing again, and her temp is normal.

Ugh.

So we’re off to go to the store to buy goodies for New Year’s Eve. Some champagne, shrimp, steak, taco dip making, and other assorted tasties, as well as some sparkling grape juice for the sad little Frog. It’s been a rough few weeks and we need a little fun.

As I was taking her temperature on Friday, she says to me, "This sucks, Mumma."

Amen, sister.

Yipes–poor kid! Glad she’s feeling better. RYN–Where can I buy one o’them conspiracy-survival fellas?? Oh wait–I think Michael is already one. Nevermind, I’ll just put him out on the balcony with a .22 in his hand and a copy of the Anarchist’s Cookbook. That should do it. 😛
