Year end is coming survey
As the year comes closer to closing out, I will be writing out more and more of these year in review kind of surveys. It’s not too early for this one as it’s more of a random question than a review kind of survey. I look forward to posting my year in review movie survey but will do that weeks later after catching some of December’s movies. Until then, enjoy this one for now…
Peter
JANUARY:
1. Who kissed you on new years?
My wife, as we celebrated the new year with our new baby.
2. Did you have a new year’s resolution this year?
I had only one, to finish my script. I had it done by August and am currently editing and revising.
3. Does it snow where you live?
Yes, and it did quite a bit that month…
4. Do you like hot chocolate?
I love it, with a few marshmellows and a little milk so it’s not too scalding.
5. Have you ever been to Times Square to watch the ball drop?
Nope, can’t say that I have but it doesn’t seem too appealing.
FEBRUARY:
1. Who was your Valentine?
My wife was as she has been for quite a while.
2. When you were little, did you buy valentines for your whole class?
We had too, but it was fun.
3. Do you care if the groundhog sees its shadow or not?
Not really, most of the time those little fuckers are no more accurate at predicting weather than most people.
MARCH:
1. Are you Irish?
Not officially, but when partying with the Irish in South Korea… I was declared honorary Irish for hanging out and keeping up with them.
2. Do you wear green on St. Patty’s Day?
I have a lot of green in my wardrobe, so that’s not to difficult.
3. What did you do for St. Patty’s Day in 2006?
This year I happened to be in Toronto for a wedding on St.Patty’s day. We all got blitzed and had a great time!
4. Are you happy when winter is pretty much over?
Usually, but on the island than never ended for another month.
APRIL:
1. Do you like the rain?
It’s okay, but we rarely see rain on the island in April. Still the white stuff…
2. Did you play an April fool’s joke on anyone this year?
I wanted to, but didn’t have the time or resources to do so.
3. Do you get tons of candy on Easter?
Nope, and I really didn’t care either.
MAY:
1. Do you like the spring?
It’s not bad, but nothing special.
2. Finish the phrase “April showers”:
I think I answered this already, no showers… only snow.
4. What is the first color you think of when you think of Spring?
Green, for finally seeing the grass for the first time in months.
JUNE:
1. What year did/will you graduate from highschool?
That would be 1994. I can’t believe that was 12 years ago!
2. Did you do anything fun during this month?
I got to hang out with friends and do things. Nothing else too special.
JULY:
1. What did you do on the Fourth of July?
I worked, it’s not a holiday in Canada. But I liked working that day cause it’s slow…
2. Did you go on any vacations during this month?
Nope, I took my vacation in late May that year.
3. Do you blast the A/C all day?
Nope, weather was just right that month.
AUGUST:
1. Did you do anything special at the end of your summer?
Not really, was just another month to me.
2. What was your favorite summer memory of ’06?
Catching a Jays game at the Dome with my brother Chris.
3. Did you have a sunburn?
No, but a decent tan.
4. Do you go to the beach a lot?
No, really don’t care for it that much.
SEPTEMBER:
1. Did you attend school/college in ’06?
No, and I don’t plan to attend any schools anytime soon either!
2. Who is your favorite teacher?
I hate a lot of favorites, to many to mention here. Possible future entry though…
3. Do you like fall better then summer?
I do. The weather is always not too hot, not too cold… just right.
OCTOBER:
1. What was your favorite Halloween costume?
One year I went downtown as Ash from Army of Darkness. I have the costume, with the cape and a fake shotgun on my shoulder, and used a hockey glove with duct tape for the metal hand. Was pretty sweet…
Another year I went as Indiana Jones. I had the torn up and bleeding Indy look from the end of Temple of Doom… and I froze cause of my lack of clothing in that costume.
2. What is your favorite candy?
3.What did you dress up as this year?
This year I didn’t dressup, but Ethan went as Batman. Looked very cool!
NOVEMBER:
1. Whose house do you go to for Thanksgiving?
No where, not a big holiday for us.
2. Do you love stuffing?
I love it…
3. What are you thankful for?
For family and the chance to raise them well…
DECEMBER:
1. Do you celebrate Christmas?
I do, but only out of respect for my family who enjoy it a lot.
2. What is December 1st, 2006?
In a nutshell (and according to a google search):
– Friday
– World Aids Day
– St. Elgius’ Day
– St Nicholas Owen’s day
– St. Alexander Briant’s Day
– St. Ansanus’s Day
– St. Charles de Foucauld’s Day
– St. Didorus’s Day
– St. Edmund Campion’s Day
– St. John Beche’s Day
– St. Ralph’s Day
It appears anyone can be a saint these days… and to think I celebrated and observed none of these that day.
3. Have you ever been kissed under mistletoe?
I have a few times, some more memorable than others…
4. Get anything special?
Not this year, but I don’t judge holidays based on what I get. These days I’m more happier when my kids get stuff rather than myself. If Ethan and Jonathan are happy, I could be even when I get nothing.
5. What do you want this year?
A publisher for my book. When I’m finished the last few chapters, I’m going to Look for a literary agent and go from there. I really think the book I wrote last month during the National Novel Writing Month is one that can sell and will try my best to find a company that will print it. Wish me luck!
6. Do you like cold weather?
I don’t mind it, but there is such a thing as too cold…
ohhhhh how fun!!!! So borrowing this!!!!
Warning Comment
Good luck with the publishing!

a higher burden than 50%+1 but I can’t accept excluding any possibility of a democratic assertion of sovereignty. Slovakia negotiated separation from the Czech Rep. Saarland voted in 1959 to leave France and join Germany; France accepted. Guinea voted in 1958 to declare independence from France. Colonial France didn’t like it and sabotaged the infrastructure but they didn’t intervene militarily
