Writing from a new locale…
I cool new feathure when it comes to writing entries for the diary. Right now Chris and Leah are watching a movie and I wasn’t in the movie kind of mood, so I’m upstairs in the bedroom. I didn’t move my computer, I’m using Leah’s new notebook which connects to our router downstairs via wireless feed. Ain’t technology sweet?
Leah was kind of getting tired of having to compete or fight for CPU time when Chris was playing games and I was writing a novel. Since we had a wireless connection, a notebook seemed like a great idea since she would be able to use the internet from almost any location in the house. The master bedroom is actually the strongest location cause it’s right above the router, a distance of only seven feet, if that.
We really did manage to find a sweet deal for this machine as well. A friend of mine is going to sell his place and pack up and move to Nova Scotia. He never used his notebook anymore and offered it to Leah for a paltry $350. It’s a great machine and it’s faster and better than the other CPUs in the house. She wouldn’t have been able to get a better deal anywhere else. The machine is kept up well and while it’s running on IE 7, at least it’s got XP instead of Viesta. Not perfect, but just fine. She’s enjoyed using it up here, as gets a little privacy to chat online, and I don’t get hassled when trying to revise my book or check my email.
Leah and I also went out for lunch yesterday, since I had a few bucks and it had been a while, I took her out to a very nice place and we had a good time eating and talking, just the two of us. After that we did a bit of shopping, the place we went to was just across the street from an IKEA and I had never been there so we took a gander. There was a lot of nice stuff, but nothing I urgently needed to get at that point, but Leah found a few amusing things we got. A pair of slippers and a pilllow. After that we had a few frappacino’s at Starbucks (Blueberry for her Vanilla Bean for myself) and then went home. It was a fun day, and we’ll have to do that again another time.
Tomorrow is a big job interview, I’m going to out and get something for it. Hope everyone is having a good day and I’ll be back on later to leave a little love via notes and what not. Until then, take care…
Peter
I hope you don’t mind me stopping by. Saw your name on the entry section. I love Ikea. You find anything you need there. Good luck on your interview tomorrow.

My boyfriend and I were looking at laptops. He bemoaned that all the ones with the specs he wanted were over $3000… until he looked up Sony. He has a nice desktop he just built though. I’m working off of two laptops both over five years old. If anyone gets a new computer first, it’s me. That’s only fair, right?
