Weekend Update

It’s been a few days since I’ve posted anything. I’ve just haven’t been in the mood to write much these past few days. I’ve got a ton of photos from the vacation that I haven’t posted yet, so I’ll get around to that very soon, and also post a rather large update to what happened down there as well…

The weekend was all right. Leah and I had a few drinks Friday night out at a local pub. It was nice to get out and have a few drinks and what not. Saturday I had a script reading with the cast at the CBC building in downtown Toronto. It was nice to go up there and sit down with the people I’ll be working with on a feature length film later on. Took us about two hours to read through it, but it was a lot of fun, and a good way for everyone to get aquainted with each other. I actually knew a few of the actors in the cast from other auditions that I had hung out with while trying out for other roles. It was good to see them there again, and nice to know we’ll be working together on this project. A nice and unexpected treat. The shoot for the film is being planned for around early September, from what we’re being told. It’s an action film with a lot of gun fire (think ‘Shoot’em Up’ gun fire) to the point where my character gets off’ed half way through. My first on screen death… should be fun.

Speaking of films, today I took Ethan to see the new Pixar movie Wall-E, and while it was all right, Ethan didn’t like the movie that much. He said it was too loud and he really lost interested in it after the first hour or so. Maybe he’ll like it better on DVD when we can turn the volume down a bit… he seemed to like it at the beginning. While it wasn’t Pixar’s best effort, it was still a decent film, funny too.
