The weekend that was…
I had another great weekend with the boys, and we managed to do quite a bit considering the time and weather we had over the last few days. There was a street festival less than a minute from where I live on Saturday, so I took the boys there to enjoy what they had to offer.
During that event, they tried to break a guiness world record for the most Kazoos playing the same song at the same time. Unfortunately we did not get the record, as the current record is 5190, and we had a little over 3800 at the site playing on Kazoos that day. It was a fine effort, as both Ethan and I were registered and playing our Kazoos that day.
Even though the attempted record failed, there was still plent of other great things to do. Bouncy castles, great food and even some animals to pet and pose with were all available to check out. Along with a lot of stuff to shop and browse through, there was something for everyone.
Here are a few cool pictures of that day:
(Ethan holding a small boa…)
(Jon eating soft chocolate ice cream on a cone…)
(Ethan all smiles, still holding the snake in his arms…)
(Both my boys, chilling on the sidewalk…)
As you can see from the photos here, my boys had a blast at this festival, and after that there was some swimming, food and movies on the TV afterwards. So in all a fun filled day for everyone!
I don’t have much money to work with when its all said and done, but I’m proud of the fun we’ve been able to have with our limited time together. I might have a few spare bucks in a few weeks and if what lined up works without issue, I might take the boys to see ball game on the 17th, which happens to be Father’s Day. Jays vs. the Phillies so that would he a lot of fun to watch too…
I just might avoid the Eaton center after what happened over the weekend. Crazy, but even we have a few every now and then.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Peter

Every time you post pictures of your boys, I’m shocked by how much they’ve grown. Especially Jon here! He looks like he could be Ethan’s age!

How brilliant that you get to have such quality time with your boys. Certainly lessons in fatherhood for me in the future as my girl grows up.

my mom took me and my younger brother and sister to every free event she could find, when we were growing up. looking back, they were lame but so much fun at the time. itÂ’s at the library summer program we learn how to tell a poisonous snake from a non-poisonous one.
