The Mustard Festival
This weekend in Hamilton was the Mustard Festival, something that runs every labour day weekend… capped off by the big game at Ivor Wynne against the Argos. There was a lot of live jazz music, a beer tent, lots of food with mustard incorporated into it, and even some fun things for the kids to do. Leah and I along with Uncle Chris and the kids went down to check it out. We even bumped into one of our neighbors and her grandkids, so everyone got to hang out and have a great time.
I have to say the food was amazing, I had a steak sandwich that was to die for, topped with grilled onions and grilled eggplant. One the side was a cobb of corn that was grilled on the BBQ and splattered every minute with a mixture of butter and honey mustard. That was an amazing mixture, and Leah loved it cause she never had grilled corn before so it was a big hit with everyone. Ethan was a little fussy with the food, and would only nibble on the ice cream and the cotton candy we had got him earlier.
It was a nice sunny day, 25 degress out there. Not too warm and with the wind it was just right. Everyone had a lot of fun out there, and Leah and I still have the football game to look forward to still… so this has been one whrilwind of a weekend for us. To show you what a great time we had, here are a lot of pictures take earlier today. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Petting zoos are always fun. Looks like a perfect family day. And it looks like you might have a little player on your hands.

Tons of cute pictures… but hold on, “Cobb of corn” sounds so strange! We say one eats corn on the cobb. And growing up in a corn-growing state, I’ve heard it a lot. Is it a Canadian thing or just a northern (very likely north-eastern) thing? And I had a friend who grilled it but she put in rosemary and ranch who knows what else. It was disgusting!
