The ballot has been cast

I walked a few blocks in -27 degree windchill for the chance to cast a vote in today’s federal election. I wouldn’t do my fellow Canucks proud if I couldn’t withstand a little chill to get out there and vote. So I bundled up and braved the cold to exercise my right to vote.

I’m not afraid nor ashamed to reveal who I cast my ballot for. I voted for the New Democratic Party. I’ve been a strong supporter of the NDP party for a while, and I’ve been more impressed and proud of my party and its leader than usual, so they’ve got my support. While I don’t know how the results will turn out… I’m proud of how the NDP ran their campaign, which was a lot cleaner and more high road than the Liberals and Conservatives/Reformers.

So I’ll be glued to my TV tonight, and I’ll check the status of the count during commercials of tonight’s new episode of 24. I’ll write up a post election result entry tomorrow morning before work, so until then… everyone take care and stay warm.

It’s quite chilly here, but I’m sure nothing like what you’ve got up there! Good on ya for hitting the voting booth! ryn: We had some fresh, alarming incidents with the “stalker” person, so he felt it was best to go private for a while. I’m not sure if/when he’s coming back, but for now, he’s just a silent observer on OD.

I have to agree with you, the NDP did pull any of the dirty name calling or lying, that’s always a good thing

I wish the US had a strong progressive party. A few states do, like Vermont. But generally nothing.
