Summer is just a flying…

I find it hard to accept that July is almost over, but that seems to be the case. 20 days have flown by already and while I’ve tried hard to work on some writing, taking care of Ethan and trucking Jon to and from IBI has made that difficult if not impossible. I’m doing my best to work on some new ideas and even spit out a few chapters but I’ve had trouble getting on this site to write anything, let alone work on a chapter. I’ll have to work harder to make more time but with concerts, festivals and other stuff just around the corner… odds are slim that I will get any significant work completed.

I am super excited to see the new Batman movie titled ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ and while I usually like to run out and see it asap, I’m actually going to wait until Tuesday because Becca has that day off and we’re going to do dinner and a movie together. It’s more fun to watch a movie like that with someone you like, but I think after watching Spider-Man and then this movie back to back, we should go see something romantic next. I’m thinking of maybe checking out that new Woody Allen movie, To Rome With Love. I actually thought Midnight In Paris was brilliant so I’m eager to see this one as well.

This weekend I am hosting a birthday party in the backyard so all the kids can swim, and then next week I am going to take both kids for a full two weeks. Jon’s IBI is shutdown for two weeks, so rather than jump back and forth from my ex’s place, I thought it would be cooler and less stressing if I had both boys the whole time. It will give Leah a much needed break and I don’t mind having my boys for a little more time. Soon after that school will be back and we’ll all be wondering where the summer went…

So things are on the up and up over here, things are going very well with Becca and I will be posting more pictures of all the cool things we’ve been doing lately. Until then, everyone have an amazing Friday and an even better weekend.
