Slow days… fast calls

You know it’s a slow day at the center when co-workers light their hands on fire to pass the time.

One of my co-workers is a complete nut, in a funny way. He cracks a lot of jokes, makes everyone smile kind of nut. Take a slow day, some hand sanitizer and a lighter, and you have an entertaining day at the call center. This guy was smearing his hand in sanitizer and then lighting it on fire to do his best ‘Ghostrider’ impersonation. He left his hand on fire for a few seconds before patting it out. Yeah, it’s a slow day when… and man did that flame stick up the floor for a while.

As for myself, I used my time for more constructive means. I was tempted to post an entry, but insteaed wrote a chapter for the novel instead. Almost two, but I’m working on the second a few times over. It didn’t look good the first time I wrote it so I worked over it a few times yesterday till it was something I was cool with. I like having a little downtime to work on the book. By writing here at work, I have a more professional environment to work in and I actually get more written that way. Go figure…

Another cool thing is that I’ve come up with some rather interesting ideas for new books. I have three more ideas that I think would also make kickass novels, but I’ll keep those ideas stashed away and not write up anything cause this novel has to be my focus right now. I’ve ordered some books off of E-bay to do research for these ideas, but won’t do much work on them until the current project is complete first. Until then, the ideas will remain just that for now.

So the writing is going well, work is going well, and my co-worker hasn’t ignited himself today just yet. Hope everyone else has a good hump day and I’ll be around whenever I get the chance to leave a few notes, maybe more. Until then, take care…
