Settling into our new home

We arrived early in Toronto around 3pm, and managed to get to our new home by 5pm. The house looks ten times better in person and it looked pretty sweet from the pictures to begin with. I like the place and while it will take a little adjusting, the boys and the cat are taking to it just fine. Ethan pretty much went through the roof when he reailzed there was a dog waiting there for him and has pretty much been feeding it since he arrived. Leah is a little rattled since she’s never lived in a city anywhere near this large before but will have time to get adjusted as well.

So the good news is everyone is safe, doing well and online. The internet, television and telephone was hooked up this morning. Everything is working well so far and if it does go down, I pretty much know 90% of the troubleshooting so chances are I’ll be able to fix 90% of the problems. So things are decent here and should get better when the weather does. It’s been raining since we arrived, but it’s a decent fifteen degrees here in the city. When we left the island it was negative five, so that’s a bit of an improvement.

I’m off for a nap. The last several days have been very exhausting. Hope everyone is well and I’ll be back soon…

Peter

Wow! That was fast. How long will your household goods take? Are they coming by boat? That could take a long time.

alright! thanks for the update!

I must warm you Peter, that there are nearly a dozen Ukrainan parishes in the Toronto area, so chances are you will finally meet a Ukrainian Canadian, or at least see one. I must also warm you that most of my immediate family lives in the Toronto area, esp Mississisauga. 😉
