Quick Pepperoni Update
First I would like to thank everyone for their kind notes, your support means a lot to me. I am doing better today, and while I spent the most of this morning in bed and not able to be very active today, Leah has been around to help out. By sheer luck, she has the entire week off so someone is here to help out with the boys. A break, I know. I’ve got to set an appointment with my family doctor as soon as possible for a follow up and make sure we keep an eye on things. Because anything can happen between 30 to 90 days after injesting the meat in question, everyone has to keep their eye on the symptoms. So while I am feeling better, the fun is just beginning according to the doctors. Sweet…
The best part about all this is that both Ethan and Jonathan are in the clear. Neither of the like to eat ham or meat of any kind of sandwiches and have been only eating Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches… so Leah and I know for sure they’re in the clear. So at least we don’t have to worry about Jon or Ethan and just ourselves. Last night was a tad scary as I had a whole wack of tests done and they had me isolated in my own room as a precaution just in case. They were taking no chances. This meat thing has hospitals freaked out, and even though my tests came back negative since we know for sure I have injested recalled meats… I have to keep an eye out and was told if I have a high fever or start vomiting at any time that I am to rush back immediately.
But for now I’m doing all right, and that’s what matters for now. Earlier today I had a sandwich, but it was tuna salad… I’m not sure I’ll be touching processed meat for a while. Maybe later, I’ll come back and write something about the convention… but I’m going to rest again and watch some of it. So until then, take care.
Peter

Get better soon. 🙁 I got laid up in bed yesterday when my sinus infection coupled with some bad chicken came to visit.

RYN: I didn’t get to see Bill’s speech last night because my sister was in labor and I was tending to birthing duties. LOL I heard it was great though. Tonight will be a great night indeed.
