Oodles of free time…

OD went down on Monday for 14 hours, but to be honest that’s just the way things are. Sites crash for one reason or another. Even sites like Twitter and Hotmail get overwhelmed every now and then, so to expect OD to be perfect is seriously unrealistic. As someone who was here for the big hack that resulted in the loss of over 75 entries, so whenever OD goes down for a while… as long as everything is as I left it before it went down, I’m a happy camper. No harm, no foul.

That new call center job didn’t work out as well as I hoped it would. Usually it takes someone a few months to get a nich and start selling like gangbusters, but this call center wants results within two weeks. So with then it was either you sell immediately or get cut loose. Not a right way to do business in my books, but after watching how far many of the workers in there were going to stay afloat, I’m actually happy they let me go.

So I’m back to the drawing board, but I’m not going to let that shake my resolve. I’ll get back to work and in the meantime use my downtime to do a few projects both old and new. While I’m game to do other stuff, right now I’m thinking of working on my books and stand up while doing the job hunt all over again.

I’m not letting this get me down. I’m going to hit the books like I was before I started working again and something will catch on. As long as I’m doing something I’ll staying out of trouble, so it’s all good. I hope everyone is having a killer hump day, and I’ll be around to read up on some favs and leave some notes Until then, take care!

Peter
