Movies and new shows…

I managed to get a good bit of writing done this week, but I also managed to catch a few movies. One of them was a film by Roman Coppola called ‘A Glimpse into the Mind of Charles Swan III’ which was actually a very amusing movie.

Starring Charlie Sheen, Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray… this was a very funny movie that I had a lot of fun watching. It was a cute movie that releases in theatres next week, so if you want cute movie to watch that doesn’t have guns blazing or zombies, I’d recommend it.

Another cool movie I saw this week was an interesting foreign action movie titled ‘The Sorcerer and the White Snake’, which starred Jet Li as the Sorcerer. For a kung fu film, it was pretty interesting. A little corny at times, but if you liked movies like Crouchin Tiger, then you’ll get a kick out of this one as well.

I watched more than movies this week, one of them was a television show that I’ve bene dying to check out for a few months now.

I watched the new Netflix orignal series, the US version of House of Cards which was adapted by David Fincher, and staring Kevin Spacey. All 13 episodes of season one was released on Netflix yesterday, and I spend yesterday watching the first seven. This show is amazing, the best political drama I’ve seen since The West Wing went off the air. Kevin Spacey is amazing, this is his most brilliant performance since American Beauty. If you have Netflix, I seriously recommend checking it out, it’s amazing. I might check out the last six episodes in the next few days. Thank goodness I didn’t have the kids this weekend, this series is not for kids, since it has a lot of language and nudity in it. But from what I’ve seen so far… it’s fucking awesome.

So that’s my weekend so far, I hope everyone else is doing well.
