More sleep and some snack crackers…

I’m happy to report that things got smoothed over when I got back from work. We both exchanged apologies and made up, while I hit the computer and did a system restore back a few days to moves things back to what they were before. She’s promised not mess with the system, aware that the new program isn’t up to speed and no accessable by all people living in the appartment. With that in mind, we spent a good chunk of our Valentine’s Day packing stuff up and then going to sleep very, very early. Jonathan fell asleep a lot sooner than we thought he would, so when the little guys sleeps… so do you. Because of that, we both managed to catch up on our sleep and were feeling much, much better this morning.

Giving Leah a chance to sleep in and doing all of Jonathan’s feedings last night was my way of trying to help out. My little guy actually slept most of the night away, so I managed to get a good bit of sleep and there is nothing to grumble about. If Jonathan slips off to Neverland early again tonight, I might crash on the couch again and let Leah sleep in again. She’s been doing a lot of night shifts and as long as I can manage to get a good bit of sleep for the next’s day’s shift… I don’t mind getting up to help out with the feedings… not one bit. It’s been fun staying up and reading favorites while the little guy is sucking back a bottle, and while I’ve been leaving a limited amount of notes, be assured that I am reading them all and will likely drop by later to leave any necessary notes.

Speaking of feedings, Leah had a bit of a scare a few days ago when Ethan was having a snack. leah was in and out of the room doing a few things (I think she was making a bottle for the baby) when Ethan said something to her that freaked her out a bit. He looked up at her from the couch with a big smile and said, “baby have cracker.” Leah looked over to poor Jonathan, who had half a cracker stuffed into his mouth. It wasn’t cutting off his breathing as the little guy was able to breath through his nose, but Leah quickly removed the cracker from his mouth and he seemed to let a hugh sigh come out. Was a scary moment for Mommy there, but I don’t think we can get upset or angry at Ethan for this. He was, after all only trying to share his snack with his baby brother. We’ve been trying to promote good manners with him, and sharing stuff with people is one of them. So we really can’t get upset with Ethan cause he was only doing what we’ve been asking him to do, which is be considerate and share when you have enough to do so. Was really sweet even if it could have caused big problems.

So things are cool here on the island. The Weather isn’t too bad and it looks to be clearing up a bit now. The sun is back for the first time in a while and will hopefully melt a little of the snow that we’ve packed on in the last few weeks. Leah is getting more excited about not only our move to the new building but for our trip to Toronto. We have to get through one to get to another… will be tough, but I think we can do it. I’m sure they’ll be a few squabbles and disagreements over a few things, but in the end when all the crap is moved over… we’ll feel a little better cause we’ll have more space for the kids.

Here’s hoping everyone is having a good week and I’ll be around. Have a good one…

Peter

Nice of him to share, but still a moment for a heart attack if ever there was one!
