Mitt Romney has no idea what he’s talking about!

Mitt really put his foot in his mouth at an exclusive dinner, and by exclusive I mean fifty grand per plate kind of meal deal. Romney was under the impression there were no cameras rolling, and did something he doesn’t do on the campaign trail: he was honest about how he really feels about certain issues. It was not pretty and there was a camera rolling. All of Romney’s comments were recorded and later leaked for all to consume. Here is the video of Mitt talking with the impression that no one is taping:

“There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what… These are people who pay no income tax.”

It’s hard to ignore Mitt’s comments, after all he’s en expert when it comes to not paying taxes. This is the guy who sends his funds overseas to avoid paying his fair share to Uncle Sam. After doing all that, Romney has the outright balls to actually show disgust for people he assumes are not paying any taxes. You’d think Mitt would avoid talking about taxes considering that he still refuses to release his own returns. How about that Mitt, we gonna see how much you paid? Didn’t think so…

Mitt’s also the biggest kind of hypocrite when he gripes about people freeloading off the government. This coming from a guy whose company took a ten million dollar bailout from the government. Doesn’t that make Mitt and his company freeloaders as well? Was a single dime of that money ever returned to government? At least the auto industry gave their money back to the government, unlike Mitt’s company. Who’s the real freeloader Mr. Romney?

Want to know the most ironic part of what Mitt had to say? Remember those people who Mitt accuses of ‘mooching’ off the government? Turns out they didn’t vote for Obama in the last election. Check out this little chart:

According to this chart, the 47 percent that Mitt claims to not care about live in many states that voted red in 2008. Opps.

Then again, it’s not like Mitt really cares about the people in these red states. Stupid is as stupid does, by which I’m not questioning their IQ, I’m stating they’re fools blinded by their own hate, prejudice, bigotry and gullibility. Something that Mitt and the GOP have been taking advantage of fora while now…

Also, it’s an outright fraud to claim that the 47 percent pay no taxes. The majority of them pay property taxes and other local and state taxes. Most pay sales taxes and most pay payroll taxes. The Tax Policy Center says that only 18.1 percent of U.S. households paid no federal taxes in 2011 or a negative federal income tax or no federal payroll taxes. Of that group, more than half were seniors, which means Mitt could take a hit in Florida for the comments he made… a state that he desperately needs to win in November.

I’m not ready to completely write off the Romney campaign, but it’s one ropes and barely on its feet. One more solid hit could be the knockout punch that sends it to the mat for the ten count. That might come during the debates. We’ll have to wait and see…
