Mid-Week Update…

Before I write anything in this entry, I want to start off by saying thank you to those who left notes with my previous entry and showed their love/concern. Your kinds words are greatly appreciated and helped a great deal. Although I made an incredibly huge mistake. It would have been a smart idea to actually tell my parents about what happened before posting an entry about it on my diary. Truth is, I didn’t tell my parents that night because I didn’t want to upset them during what is always a fun night with the Oscars coming on. I had every intention of telling them, not just that night. Turns out telling them slipped my mind and I forgot that my Mom is a regular reader of my diary, and she found about it via my diary. It was an honest mistake, but she gave myself and leah a royal chewing out for it none the less. It wasn’t that bad… I mean I was barely scratched. Had I been in the hospital and she wasn’t informed, then she’d have a real beef. But I’m doing all right so let’s move on from there.

We’re eight days away from our first trip to Toronto. Leah and very excited, and I have to admit I am as well. We’re going to take Ethan and Jonathan over to Ontario to visit my family and I think they’re both going to be a big hit with my relatives. Ethan is turning out to be quite a character, so I think he’s going to have a great time at the wedding, and I’m not going to drink that night so they can stay for the dinner party and dance. My older brother and I will then retire early with the little ones so they can crash at the hotel and sleep, while we munch on leftovers smuggled from the wedding and watch movies from the hotel PPV. So we’ve got a plan and I think it will turn out all right. I can’t wait to let Ethan sample the eight course meal during the wedding. I’m going to remember to bring his booster, so that he can sit with Dad and we’ll both sample each dish together. Should be a lot of fun, and Ethan is quite an eater and is the kid of kid that is willing to try anything so I’m earger to see how he fares at an Italian wedding. It’s going to be a lot of fun, and I think everyone will have a great time.

Speaking of the wedding, Leah’s dress finally arrived in Tennessee earlier this week. Incase you didn’t read the previous entry, I went on ebay and got an amazing dress for Leah for the wedding. She doesn’t wear dresses that often, but really liked this one. Take a look:

It took a while for it to come in, and once it arrived we finally found out why. We thought it was being shipped to use from Vermont, but instead it came all the way from Shanghi. Yes that Shanghi in China. So we’ve come to the conclusion that this dress is a tad authentic, and according to my Mom it’s ten times more amazing to look at and the picture does no justice. Leah can’t wait to see it, and I just hope they didn’t mess up the measurements. Right now we’re all excited about the wedding, and fun will be had by all.

The only person we need to get something to wear for the wedding is Ethan. I think we’ll just get something quick for him in Toronto, and call it a day. Two year olds are not hard to shop for since they don’t get a say in what they wear. So we’ll find something simple yet handsome and call it a day. A friend of mine from work is offered to loan me his digital camera, which can hold up to 150 pictures. So I’ll be able to take a few pictures that weekend and have them all online by that monday. That will give me a chance to take full advantage of the sweet new photobucket option we have here on OD. Is that cool or what?

So that’s the plan right now. I’m sure things will change a bit as we get closer to the big day but for now things look pretty secure. We have our hotel booked already, and I booked early so I could get a room that was far, far, far away from relatives I didn’t want to hang out with or see at all. We actually had two hotels that we could register with for the wedding. I found out that the most annoying relatives went to the cheaper one, we all shelled out the extra dough to go to the other one to avoid them. Was worth every penny. I like the idea of being at the better hotel cause it’s closer to the wedding and I’m sure offers better services. We’ll find out a guess.

So I’ve got to get back to work. Everyone have a good hump day and I’ll try to be around, but make no promises.

Peter
