Laying low, not doing too much…
I haven’t been online that much this week, and one reason for it has been a series of mind splitting migraines. It’s been a few years since I had a really nasty one, and this week I had a doozy. Feels like someone is sticking a needle into the side of my head and then starts to fish around for a vein. Not fun, and drugs don’t make much of a difference. Right now relaxing and actually putting an ice pack on the side of my head is the only thing that worked out.
Some good news though, I got an email from a law firm in Alberta. Turns out that Maple Leaf wasn’t interested in having the class action lawsuit over the whole ‘Listeria’ incident see the inside of a courtroom. They’ve cried uncle already and folded like a cheap suit. They’re coughign up the dough and now everyone will have to fight their way to the trough for a taste of the settlement. Let the maddness begin…
After looking over the compensation grid, I have the medical documentation and the receipts and proof to warrant a class 4 or 5 claim. I’m going speak to my doctor of which he prefers I take based on his records, cause they’re very close to what happened to me in Aug through to November. So I don’t want to jinx it, but I could see a few pennies come from the horrific battle I had with the pepperoni sticks. Better than nothing and Maple Leaf should be held accountable, what they did was atrocious. But I’m trying to move on, and while the money is nice I just like the idea that I got something back from this and that it was settled.
The Superbowl was a good game, one of the better ones I’ve seen in a while. I really thing the Cardinals blew their best shot at taking it all. Pittsburgh was not at their best that night, and they got lucky. But sometimes that is enough so I tip my hat to them for slugging it out and coming out on top in the end. By all it was a good effort, except for Jennifer Hudson, lip syncing the national anthem is just horrid. There’s not excuse for it. I may have lost a few bets over the game but it’s okay… it was a close one and the game really could have gone either way. I was kinda upset that I didn’t get the US feed and a chance to see all the great commercials, then later when I saw the video I realized that I didn’t miss much this year. Just a few good trailer teasers. Springsteen was out of tune and not that good, but at least he didn’t fake his performance. I’d rather hear a bad show than a good taping…
Other things are going all right. No word yet on a second audition, and rehersals are about to start for the short film. I’m off to bed and then I’ll hopefully be back again later to post something better and more uplifting. Until then, take care.
Peter
Hope you feel better…don’t know the story behind your medical claim…

Have you heard about the company in GA that knowingly distributed tainted peanut butter? Freaking ridiculous.

I hope you’re feeling better! Good luck with the Maple Leaf thing. I don’t eat their products so I wasn’t effected.
