It’s over…

Thanks to the generous help of a very good friend… the move is finally over. We took one huge carload over to the new place and now I’ll be able to hand in the keys tomorrow. A one day delay isn’t too bad, especially considering we’ve had over 100cm of snow in the last several days to make things a little tricky. But thankfully after heaving a lot of crap up four floors, it’s all over but the crying… and that will start tomorrow when my legs and arms begin to ache. Even though I’ll feel this in the morning, I’m just glad its over. We can take our time putting everything into just the right place and now no longer have to rush to get the job done. We can slow things down to a much more acceptable pace and that will make things a lot less stressful around here.

When it was all said and done, I got some really bad news. I was informed that my Mom’s Aunt, my Great Aunt Glady… had passed away. They found out on Sunday, but kept that information from me so that I would be able to concentrate on the move and not be distracted. Ever since I was five, Mom and I would aways cross the border and visit my Aunt Glady in upstate New York. She was a sweet lady, and a die hard yankees fan (won’t hold that against her) and was one of the rare people on my Mom’s side who I really enjoyed visiting. I took the news really bad, and needed a few minutes to myself, which of course proved that holding the news off was a good idea. It will take a while for that to sink in, but thankfully I was too tired to think about it too much today.

Getting to some much better news, I’m simply estatic over this new Photobucket news that the DM dropped on us today! One of the better things I love to do is post photos on my diary, and this will make posting new pictures of Ethan and Jonathan much, much easier. Just for giggles, I looked around my CPU for anything that would make a good test photo and decided on this one. It was taken in 2000 when I was visiting my brother in Toronto. I just happened to bump into this chap and he was nice enough to chat for a few moments and pause for a photo. Big time brownie points to my friends south of the border who can name this person…

I’ll let that one linger for a while, and see who figures it out. When I first showed her this picture, my mother almost cringed in horror. I actually think the picture turned out well, considering that it was my brother who took it. Leave private notes if you know so that everyone can have a guess. So I’m going back to bed after giving Jonathan his late night feeding. Everyone take care and I’ll be around… especially not that my high speed cable internet is up and running at the new place!

It’s me! Oh wait…that looks nothing like me.

And I’m sorry to hear about your aunt. *hugs*

100 cm of snow? Well, it could have been worse. You could have gotten a full meter of snow. *smirk*
