Hard @ Work on Labor Day…

It’s labor day, and Jerry Lewis is back on the waves… begging for people to help support ‘his kids’ again. I can’t admire the guy to keep doing this year after year, especially when you can tell that his own health isn’t looking too good either. Yet after giving away over two hundred million towards the relief effort for Lousiana and Mississippi, I don’t know if anyone has anything left for Jerry.

Sorry dude, all out over here.

As much as I’d love to give whatever I can, funds have been rather scarce over here on the island. Leah and I also have to start saving for a new bed too for Ethan to move up to… so the new baby can take the crib when he’s ready. Right now, the plan is to keep the baby in our room with Leah and myself so that we can hear the baby and when he cries, we’ll be there to help. We considered stashing both boys in the same room, but not yet. The last thing we need is the new kid waking up his older brother who will stay up for hours, as opposed to mere minutes for the new little bundle.

Until we find out what kind of sleeper the new baby is going to be like, Ethan gets to keep his room to himself… for now. I guess when they are both old enough, we might invest in a bunk bed. For the first four or so months, the new kid will be with us in the main room, cause we’re getting a small little thing for him to lie in and that will allow us to be right there to take care of him.

So things are all right at work. Today is day 6 of 6 working days in a row, but I have two days off in a row to look forward to after tonight. I hope that everyone is doing well and having a great holiday weekend. Best wishes to all and I’ll try to post a few more entries tomorrow. Promise!
