Gotta Fly…

Today is take off, and we’re almost finished packing. Our flight leaves the island around 12:30pm and we’ll land in Toronto around three hours later. Should be a lot of fun. I will not however be able to post any entries over the weekend cause I’ll have limited to any access to the internet during this time. I’ll be too busy hanging out with family members I haven’t seen in years, so I’ll have plenty of time to fart around on the net when I get back. Two and half months too actually, so two days away isn’t going to kill me.

I have full batteries charged and a camera with enough room to take over 200 photos ready to go. When I do get back, I’ll have a lot of great pictures to post and that will make the entires I post when I get back that much more amazing. I plan to take pictures of Ethan and Jonathan at the airport and meeting up with Grandpa, and then of the wedding and feast/dance afterwards. Should make for some great pictures. I’m pretty decent with a camera too so having a good camera to work with as well will increase the quality and quantity of pictures I’ll be able to take.

So, I will be back here on the Island on Sunday Night, and likely will not post anything until Monday Morning. Until then, I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I’ll see everyone back here on Monday

have fun!!

Toronto has some nice parts, but others… eh, sorry to say, reminds me of a Soviet planned city. Especially the parts that have a high rise, then large pastures, than more meadows, that a high rise, separated by a highway, then another high rise. I guess I prefer a city that is more centralized, like NYC.

Shuk: NYC may be centralized as a city but it’s surrounded by 75 miles of suburbs, at least to the north and east.

Well, it’s been 30+ years since I was in Totonto, but I recall it as being one of the nicest cities on the eastern seaboard, full of interesting buildings and people. And what’s wrong with green spaces? Keep your “centralized” NYC- that’s an almost charmless city in my opinion. I understand that Toronto has befallen sprawl now, but I can’t think of a city that doesn’t have that problem.

Enjoy your trip, Peter!

Just my personal preference. Toronto seems a lot more unnecessarily sprawled out. NYC is relatively centralized.
