Diary filler… aka a survey!

Just a quick survey to pass the time. For my Canadian readers, have a happy thanksgiving!

1. What’s one thing thats heavily weighing on your mind?

Right now the biggest thing on my mind is the book. I’m working on revisions this week and have big plans for it.

2. What’s one thing you’ve learned from a good friendship gone bad?

That good friends don’t always make good roomates.

3. What’s one thing you’ve learned lately from love?

That real love requires work, lots of it to keep things going.

4. Is there anyone special in your life in general at the moment?

You mean besides my wife and our two boys?

5. What’s a happy time you’ve had in the past week?

The concert I recently attended over the weekend to see Jesse Cook was amazing. That was a killer show and I’d go again in a heartbeat…

6. Is there anything in your past that you’d like to try again?

Not really, don’t really want to mess with the space/time continium.

7. Who do you like to spend your nights with?

You mean besides my wife and my kids?

8. Are you an emotional person?

I can be very passionate about a lot of things. That however is a double edged sword cause I can be passionate about things I like and things I don’t like… can get into some fierce debates about anything.

9. Are you self conscious?

I try to be… can’t guarentee good results.

10. Do you think of others before yourself?

I’ve always been a charitable person, but since becoming a Dad my boys are priority #1. I go without things these days to make sure they have all they need…

11. What’s something that can always make you feel better?

Well, there’s always a nice bowl of chocolate mint ice-cream…

12. Who was the last person you had a crush on?

This really cool Irish lady I met a few years back. Was an innocent crush and nothing more…

13. Where do you see yourself this time next year?

Hopefully still here in Hammer town, maybe with a published book (knock on wood).

14. Do you tend to make relationships complicated?

I’m a complicated person, so that happens naturally…

15. Who do you feel the most comfortable around?

My wife and my kids… naturally.

16. Is there something that you’re waiting for?

A break in the publishing industry.

17. One thing you’re not looking forward to?

18. How do you feel about change?

Normally I hate change. I like to set a good routine and stick with it. But I’m no fool and realize that change is unavoidable and you just gotta go with the flow sometimes…

19. What are you most looking forward to?

Hmmmmm… didn’t I answer this one already.

20. What are your plans for your next birthday?

My next birthday is in three weeks. I turn 32 on the 28th of October, but at the moment I have no plans. There was a huge stand up comedy show on exactly my birthday I had considered going to with my brothers, but we can’t go cause Leah and my Mom are going to a massive baby shower that day. It’s my cousin’s baby shower, so they can’t miss it even though it’s on my exact day. but Saw IV comes out that weekend so maybe I’ll check that out over the weekend…

21. Do you even care about your birthday?

Not really. I don’t make a big deal of it… mosty anything that I’ve done over the last half a decade has been stuff planned by others, not myself. I can’t even remember the last time I got a gift on my birthday … honestly.

22. Do you think anyone in general out there loves you?

I’d like to think so. To know me is to love me… 😉

23. When do you think the world will end?

Well, that prediction for June 6th of last year (06/06/06) didn’t pan out so I have no idea now…

24. What’s the most expensive piece of clothing you own?

Honestly, I have a pair of Calvin Klein jeans that I got at winners for around $35. Really good pair that are super comfy…

25. Why do you drive the car you have right now?

I don’t have a car, don’t even have my driver’s lisence.

26. Do you still talk to the person you LAST kissed?

All the time.

27. Have you ever seen your best friend cry?

Yes, I have.

28. What kind of vitamins did you take as a kid?

I used to take those really cool Flintstone treat ones. I always took the purple one cause Dino was my favorite.

29. Did you ever pee your pants in school when you were a kid?

Nope, can’t say that I did.

30. Did you get any compliments today?

Nope, fraid I didn’t.

31. Are you friends with your neighbors?

I am friends with my neighbors. I was lucky to get some good ones here in the city. Very, very lucky.

32. What were you just thinking about?

About how kickass that concert on Saturday was…

33. Name the places you have lived in?

Hamilton, Ancaster, Grimsby, Smithville, Beamsville, St.John’s, Seoul, Mok’po, St.John’s and now back in Hamilton again.

34. When was the last time you drove more than 15 minutes?

I don’t… driving at all (let alone for 15 minutes) would be illegal.

35. Have ever had a crush your on your sister’s/brother’s friend?

Never, not that kind of person.

36. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing you thought?

Whew, no red eye.

37. When is the next time you will make out with somebody?

Not sure, I don’t exactly plan stuff like that… it just naturally happens.

38. What’s a word that rhymes with “LUCK”?

Firetruck.

39. What’s your favorite planet?

Call be biast, but I love this little place.

40. Who’s the 2nd person on your missed calls list?

Mom & Dad’s number. They tried to get us when we were napping I think…

41. What is your favorite ring tone on your phone?

I have the U2 song ‘Vertigo’ on my cell for incoming calls. It’s kickass…

42. What shirt are you wearing right now?

This one:

I got this amazing ‘George Best’ shirt from a guy in the UK. Paid about ten pounds for it. Amazing shirt, and killer since you can’t get it here.

43. What do you “label” yourself as?

I’m a writer… an artist out of touch with his time. 😉

44. Name the brand of shoes you’re currently wearing?

I have a sweet pair of airwalkers. Very, very comfy!

45. Bright or dark room?

Kinda in the middle. Mood lighting… 😉

46. What do you think about the person who last took this survey?

Very nice person, we need to have lunch with Lady Dmaj again and harass her into posting more entries. I like her a lot and wish her and Steve all the best in their upcoming nuptuals…
