Blogathon # 40: Hello Mr. Sun…

Time: 6:00am Island Time (4:30am EST)

I can see the sun coming up now, and I consider that to be light at the end of the tunnel. We’re four and a half hours away from the end, which means we’ve all be writing for almost twenty hours! Amazing, eh?

I finished watching the episode of Iron Chef America. When it was all said and done, battle scallop wasn’t even close. The challenger from Italy failed to complete his dishes and only had two out of five served to the judges. It was the first time I’d ever see someone fail to plate… it was shocking. This Chef was also taking on who I think is the best Iron Chef on the show, Masaharu Morimoto… and he basically smoked the challenger like a cheap cigar. It wasn’t even close… and the fact that the Iron Chef used bacon pretty much guarenteed his victory. It was 50-33 in favor of the Iron Chef, not even close. Was like witnessing a car wreck, not very pretty.

The sun is starting to peek over the horizon, and it’s a welcome site. We are four and a half hours away from complete this Blogathon. Like I said to the other bloggers earlier, this is the time that will drag and crawl. The first twelve hours flew right by, but this is where it’s going to hurt. You have to dig deep and really push forward to complete the entire event. I know everyone can do it… and I’ll be here to congradulate you all.
