Blogathon # 39: I’m not alone anymore…
Time Posted: 4:03am EST
I was dozing a bit here and there over the last hour. Like some sort of sixth sense, one of my boys seemed to feel my distress and woke up to keep me company and awake. Jonathan woke up only fifteen minutes ago, and he’s not up watching his new favorite movie, “Mamma Mia.” He doesn’t understand the plot, but can’t get enough of the songs, as he dances around to most of them when they’re playing.
Ethan is stirring a bit, but he gets that from his mother. They both heavy tossers, so I doubt he’ll be up for at least another two or three hours. But it’s nice to have the company, and Jon will likely be up for a while and not go back down himself until after the blogathon is over. So at least I have help for the homestretch, the little guy is right beside me in a chair watching his movie with intent.
Speaking of movies, the kids also love watching Kung Fu Panda. I was very worried about this one because I was afraid the kids would mimic the martial arts and hurt one another. I’m happy to say that they haven’t done that and took the film in well without getting that kind of stuff from it. It’s a good movie too, I’m just impressed the boys didn’t feel the need to copy it. Very mature of them…
Another movie they love is Wall-E. I like it, but I’m not fond of the second act. I plan to take Ethan to the theatre to see Ice Age 3. He’s doing very well at the theatre as long as there is a steady supply of popcorn available. We’ll likely see it on Wednesday which is my next day off after the weekend.
Catch you back in the next half hour…

lol my daughter loves the songs from it. Anytime we hear it ANYWHERE she stops and says its the songs from her ‘aunties movie’.
