Blogathon ’09 Post-Mordem…
I went to bed around ten minutes after posting the last entry, had to give Leah a chance to make some coffee for herself before crashing and crash I did. Apparently about an hour after I went to bed, that big thunderstorm we were supposed to have showed up. Leah said there was loud cracks, tons of rain and at least a few bolts a minute. Never heard any of it and slept right through it. If I was any more unconscious, I’d have to be dead. She came to check on me cause she couldn’t believe that I had slept through the storm, but I did.
I woke up around 2pm, and didn’t stay home long. I took a list from Leah and bolted to the grocery store as quickly as I could. I wanted to hit the place before it closed early on a Sunday, and the sun was out so I wanted to walk over while there was no rain. I got back about an hour later, and have been hanging with my boys ever since. It’s been an easy going day, and that’s what I was hoping for today. I didn’t sleep too long cause I need to sleep tonight cause I have a super long shift tomorrow at work. I’m doing 12 hours cause I need Wednesday off and that was the only way I could get it.
I’m actually working 12 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to get that day off. I don’t mind cause I need Wednesday cause Jon has an important appointment that we need to take him too. So the long hours will be worth it. Leah is actually taking Jon to his appointment cause she wants to but wants me to watch Ethan who she doesn’t want him to be there. I might do something special, just Ethan and I. I’m thinking of taking him to my favorite deli for lunch and then out to see Ice Age 3 that afternoon. That would be a lot of fun.
So getting back to last night, which was my fourth straight successful Blogathon. Over $250 was raised for Autism Society Canada, and as I indicated early in the thon, it recently became a charity that is close to me and my family. So my sincerest thanks to everyone to took the time and effort to make a pledge for my cause… it’s greatly appreciated. I’m still a little sore, but I will be all right. I’m going back to bed at 10pm tonight, after I watch Big Brother and a new episode of True Blood.
So that’s it from the Hammer. I’m going to shut down the computer now because we are getting more lightning. I hope all my fellow blogathoners had a good rest, and I’ll be back to leave more notes and love for everyone later. Until then, take care…
Peter
Congrats Peter! I was really glad to have you as one of my manatees again this year. You did splendidly and I saw that you did your fair share of cheering other people on as well. I’m so proud of the OD group for pulling together like they did.

“If I was any more unconscious, I’d have to be dead.” That would make an awesome post-Blogathon t-shirt. I think it sums things up for everyone who participated. 🙂 Well done! ~Shady
