Back with a few updates

I’m back to the diary, but this kind of absence is quite normal. I had a hard time getting back into the swing of things last year after that blogathon as well. But I’m back again, with a few updates of what’s been going on this week and to report how things are here on the island.

Leah had her interview on Monday, and while she thinks she did all right she’s very concerned and worried that she won’t get a call back. It was a panel interview, and since she had never done that before, she was very, very nervous about it. From what she said about it, I think she did all right… but she has yet to get a call back so she’s a little unnerved by the lack of response.

Things at the center have been all right, and quickly are back to it’s boring, annoying self. It’s funny that my small incident caused so many rumors to fly around the floor… to the point where some were outright hilarous. It was good lesson for many on the floor to not believe what everyone tells you cause it’s likely not true. But I’m back to work after have 8 of the previous 9 days off. That was a great break and seems to do the trick for me. While I’m still a little pooped from the blogathon, I’m doing better everday and should be fine. They’ve been offering OT all week, but I’ve been pacing myself to get my strength back up.

Speaking of strength, I haven’t done enough to be at the gym enough, and I’ve got to go back as often as my schedule will allow me. That means I go back on every day off (today for example, I have an appointment with the trainer at 9am) and whenever I can squeeze it in after work. I’m paying for the membership, so I should go as often as possible.

Well, speaking of the gym, I’m gonna get ready to go and take Ethan with me. There is a daycare at the gym and for $4 they’ll take care of him while I work of for a max of 90 minutes. That gets the little guy out of the gym and gives me a chance to give Leah a break. So I’ve got to run. Hope everyone is doing well and I’ll be back later today…
