Back to reality and work…

I didn’t work any OT last night, which was good cause yesterday was a little rough. I came home early, got to spend some time with my boys before they went to bed and also got some time with Leah, which is rare these days. We cuddled on the couch, had mini carrots to dip in Ranch dressing, and watched a movie.

On the movie network that night was “Waiting” which is the comedy about waiters working at a crappy food joint. It was a crude and very gross humor kind of movie.. and for that reason, I liked it! Sometimes you can be in the mood for that kind of movie, and Leah and I roared with laughter throughout the film. It was a lot of fun, and then afterwards we crashed early so that we could get a lot of sleep before the kids woke up. Low and behold, the kids didn’t wake up early and Jonathan slept through the night for the first time in a while.

The boys have been doing really well lately too. Ethan is being his usual bouce off the walls self, while Jonathan is really starting to move around. His crawling is getting so good that you have to watch the little guy or he’ll disappear into the hallway. This means Leah and I are going to have to start investing in gates again in the very near future. My dad is really sure that Jonathan is going to be walking a lot sooner than Ethan did, and Leah isn’t looking foward to two boys darting around the apparment.

I’m at the center a little earlier this morning and for the first time in a while I’m not eligable to work any OT today. That’s all right cause I’m not in the mood to do any today and will make up for the lack of it later this week. I’m eager to go home and spend time with the family and to watch Big Brother Seven with the wife later on anyway. It’s looking to be a slow and very easy going Sunday and I hope the day is just as easy going for everyone as it has been for me so far.

If the day remains as slow as it has been so far… I’ll be back to post a few more times a leave some notes. Until then… take care.

Peter
