Back home and one sweet ride…

We are back in Canada, and happy to say that everyone is back home and in one piece. It was a long exhausting day that started around 4am, but everyone is back in the safe, familar confines of home and things are starting to settle back down… a little bit at a time. Today’s flights I have to say was no where near as exhausting as the flights down to Nashville, and even though Ethan was a little annoying, it was nothing compared to the seat kicking, back talking self he was on day #1.

There was one really bright spot to our day and that was our ride home from the airport. We ordered service from a company that would drive us from airport right to our door. A little more expensive, but worth it since we didn’t want to haul the kids and luggage from a distint location or hail a cab to go the rest of the way. Normally if you make an regular order, you’ll get a van and it’s yours. No other people will be picked up and you get total privacy and peace on your ride in. Rather sweet since we appreciate that with the kids and all. That kind of private ride was pretty good, especially considering the price wasn’t that much higher than than what you would pay for a sky bus which is a van packed full of people going to the same airport, and they don’t pick you up at your door.

Anyway the ride in with the van to the airport was great, and we were super impressed with the service. But we were told by the driver that what vehicle we would be driven home in was dictated by what was ordered by the person being dropped off at the airport before us. To save gas (which is important these days to the business), that driver would pick us up with the same car and return us home. So we could get anything depending on what order was made. As luck would have it, check out the ride that was waiting for us when we walked out of the terminal:

I’d like to take a moment to give a big thank you to the bloke who ordered the stretched limosine to go to the airport this morning… because it really made for a comfy ride back home for Leah, myself and the kids this afternoon! It was a nice treat that made for a good highlight on the way home. I really enjoyed it, and it was something I could really get used to! Let’s hope the acting career booms so I can ride in a few more sooner than later!

So that’s been my day so far, we’re home and safe and that’s what counts in the end. Hope everyone else is doing well too and I’ll be back later to note and maybe even post another big entry. Until then, take care…

Peter

Edit: I realize the date on the camera says 1970. Everytime we reset the camera (delete pictures) it also resets the date and I sometimes forget to update it back to present time. So no afros in this pic, despite the date…

Awesome. If the acting career takes off and you end up out in Hollywood, I better get a ride in the limo!
