Baby Update, and a little Xmas Shopping

Things are well on the baby front for now. Leah has had some aches and pains, but so far hasn’t had problems that forced us to make any trips to the hospital. Mom has been a great help around the house, especialy since Leah is getting big to the poing where she needs to stay off her feet a lot. Yesterday, we went to the mall to do some last minute Christmas shopping, and her feet started to cramp up to the point where she couldn’t walk. After sitting down on a bench and massaging her feet for a few minutes, I thought it would be a good idea to take a break at a coffee shop a few feet away.

So we sat down for thirty minutes and had Latte’s and Peacan Pie, which also gave Leah a moment to rest. I love Peacan Pie, but Leah didn’t and all she had was a Strawberry/Kiwi smooth and I had a Latte to go with my pie. It was a good pit stop which allowed us to finish our shopping without any further cramps. We managed to pick up a small desk and chair set for Ethan so he can draw/color at his own table, something he really likes doing. We picked up a few other trinkets but one I was really tempted to get was the plastic basketball setup, maybe later. So with many of our holiday gifts out of the way, Leah and I are happy to get them out of the way before the new baby arrives but also to do them without hitting the wallet too hard.

We didn’t stay at the mall too long and went back to the house to rest and stash all of Ethan’s gifts away. I have however been very hesitant to buy anything for the new baby. I know that both Ultrasounds said it was a boy, but I know if I really commit to that life will toss me a curve and force me to take stuff back. But Leah is a little more confident in the ultrasounds than I am and has bought a bit of blue stuff for the new spud. She’s got her final doctor’s appointment coming up on Friday so it will be interesting to see how that goes. I’ll be sure to keep everyone up to speed. Hope everyone is having a great week and I’ll do my best to keep in touch.
