Auditions and other cool stuff…

This morning’s audition went all right. I stopped judging auditions a long time ago. My best auditions never got anything, and what I thought were my worst get me parts. It’s too much to think about so I just do my best and let it go after that. I have two more auditions next week, so I’m not too concerned about what happens today. I’d like to get the part but know there are others to try for should this not work out.

I have the boys this weekend and I look forward to spending some time with my little guys. I’ve only seen them once since my last weekend, a long period of time since I saw them alomst everyday during the summer. So I look forward to this weekend and will have fun hanging with my boys again. I got some cool shows downloaded to watch with them, new clay and paints for arts & crafts, tons of fun planned out!

I’ve been doing a lot more reading than usual. I find it hard to read anything that keeps my attention when I’m writing my own stuff. Last month, I read ‘The Hunger Games’ based on a recommendation from a friend. I liked the book so much, I immediately read the second book, Catching Fire, and that book was even better! I’m half way throgh the third and last book, and it’s a good one as well. I can testify that the second and third books are going to make some very interesting movies.

Speaking of the books, I’m working on three right now that all have great potential. One of them is a fiction book I’ve been working on and off for a few years. When that one is done, I’m just posting it online and moving on to the next project. I’m also working on my first non-fiction book, my Atheist Manefesto, which is looking rather good. I will look for a publisher for a month or so after its done but if I can’t it will be posted on my self-publishing sites.

So things are going well here in the Hammer. I hope everyone else is having a great week and I’ll be around.

Peter

One can never tell what’s in the mind of a director when it comes to auditions…

I’d love to read your atheist manifesto. I have a whole row of books in that vein–although, sadly, there aren’t that many atheist books out there compared to the competition.

I’m leaving this exact same private note on both Ashleigh bin Field and Peter_24601’s diaries, because both of you seem to feel that I’m favoring the other. You both have set yourselves up as political enemies, constantly bickering with each other and then running to the OD staff demanding that we (read: “I”) interfere. I will not interfere with this little political feud between the two of you unless someone else validly complains, or unless I feel that you have validly broken site rules (expressing your political beliefs is not breaking site rules). Each of you has taken turns accusing the other of racism entries, and every time I look, all is see is political rhetoric, and not true racism. I asked the DM to intervene a while ago between you two, and so far he has not. If you feel that I’m not playing referee enough in this little game of yours, you’re welcome to try and contact the DM directly to complain. But good luck with that. If you successfully contact him, tell him that the helpdesk is still down for me, will ya? Eric

RYN: That suspended diary was suspended a long time ago, and not by the DM, though he at the time supported it. I (though it was one of the other admins) have the ability to suspend and/or remove anyone’s diary (though I can’t access it once it’s suspended). No, the help I asked the DM for was more recent, when you both were bombarding the previously working helpdesk complaining about each other constantly about the smallest thing. And that note that you quoted was not against diary rules. Personal Note: Politics disgust me, and political arguments turn my stomach, so I don’t get involved in them. I don’t align myself with either/any party and don’t take sides. Eric

RYN: I’m going to mix personal opinion with official OD response here. Personal Opinion: That note seemed more like a snarky, sarcastic comment for the purpose of proving her point, than an actual admission of illegal activity. Official OD response: We take all “serious” legal threats seriously, and we act accordingly. Personal Opinion: OpenDiary’s legal liability issuesaren’t my concern, and I’m not legally linked to OpenDiary in any way. Eric
